    Got 2 2008 ZX14 myself. One with 87,000 tuned and straight headers. Other one is 10,000 and I’m ordering a stage 2 kit from Richard as well along with pistons, rods, valves and springs.. etc. Keeping stock swingarm ( wish me luck ). Great build.

    Very enjoyable video. You have one of the nicest and fastest ZX-14's in the world. It was trouble, but now you've got something extra-special. Ride safe Kawi brother!

    Glad I found this vid. I totaled a new 2016 zx14R SE last month on my way back from Pikes Peak when it was thrown off the hauler in an accident, and am going to build that engine. Video of your build was helpful.

    The problem with stubby exhausts is you’ll get false air/fuel readings. Especially at idle.

    Hey what kind of water injection did you use? Building the same turbo bike too. Also the afr/ guages are needed too. Any model numbers are cool. Ie. Snows Performance. Thanks

    you should put a after oiler in it especially since you like to pull in clutch after a hard pull cuts oil off to turbo never pull in clutch and idle down quick after a hard pull the after oiler works all mechanical pretty kool have a container that pumps oil into it before the turbo oil inlet have a check valve on the in side od oil line then run other line out the bottom side by side the container fills up with oil and container becomes ppressureized compressing the air on top inside container the pressureized air pushes oil into turbo even after engine is shut down the turbo never starves for oil
    you probbably did damage to the bearing on your first turbo like that im thinking and the rcc guys were way kool fliping you another one lucky guy see your luck isnt all that bad really

    its alot of headache making a turbo run hard and be streetable did you push the water alcohol injection with manifold pressure ? just wondering that way it squirts only under boost a after oilier is a good thing to invest in just put a check valve in a resiour thats inline of oiling the turbo and the resivoiur fills up building pressure in the resiviour when you shut bike off the pressure in tank pushes the oil threw the turbo after shut down so if turbo still spinning it gets oiled kind of kool i had a z1 1327 cc turbo i raced for 20 years one time fuel petcock fell apart the nipple came out then the turbo was right below the petcovck it was dumping fuel vp 116 right on hot turbo i seen my nuts burning in my head so i pulled in the clutch shut it down got to the pits fixed petcock started bike blue smoke from hell beasring gone new turbo time 600 bucks down the drain oh well live and learn never shut down engine after hard pull no oil to turbo melts bearing seal will not seal on shaft that is moving all over the place the ceramic bearing turbos are more forgiving but still hard on them to

Since I live about 1.5 hours away from RCC and I hear its the best turbo for the zx14. Is there a chance I can email you. Nice job you have a lot of patients

    • @BryanMBAMVIDEO
      @BryanMBAMVIDEO  Před 7 lety +2

      Jackson Welch supersport head is high compression. I probably could have got away with it running low compression pistons but at first my plan was to use the stock pistons.

    Ok I have a nitrous zx14 that I bought and its knocking louder than fireworks on my second day with it and notices you pulled the head and stuff without pulling the whole motor do you think I’ll be able to replace the rod bearing and main bearing without pulling the whole motor

    • @BryanMBAMVIDEO
      @BryanMBAMVIDEO  Před 4 lety

      isaac valentin you could do the rod bearings without pulling the motor but not the crank bearings.

      BAM Video hey me again I have two phones but yea pulled my pan and it’s rod bearings so ordering that Tuesday but wanted to ask where did ou get the gauge overlays I’m trying to get some that says 210 instead of 180 cause I’m planning to turbo my bike even though it already has nitrous

    • @BryanMBAMVIDEO
      @BryanMBAMVIDEO  Před 7 lety +1

      Some Dude ya 10k sounds crazy and just looking at the bike you'd never know it! But it really does cost that much to do what I did. Also I'd love to know where to buy a ball bearing gt28 turbo for $150! Lol

    • @somedude3639
      @somedude3639 Před 7 lety

      ok so $250 stead of 150. let's lie an say 800 (price of dual ceramic ball bearing precision turbo) still don't justify 10k but your on CZcams so I guess it cost 20k

    • @BryanMBAMVIDEO
      @BryanMBAMVIDEO  Před 7 lety +2

      Some Dude the turbo kit alone will set you back close to 6k. Now add the cost of a wossner pistons, new head, valve springs, valve shims, gaskets, head gasket, water meth injection kit, custom water meth tank, dual iat gauge, (2) innovate dual display gauges.. one for oil pressure and fuel pressure, the other for boost and afr, materials for making brackets, tank, etc dynojet pod 300, dynojet autotune, clutch plates, brocks clutch springs, brocks clutch spring spacers, race fuel for tuning, wasted money on dyno appointment and anything else I may have missed and maybe you can start to see how I have 10k into this build. Do a little research here man... it takes a lot of time and money to do what I did.

    • @BryanMBAMVIDEO
      @BryanMBAMVIDEO  Před 7 lety +1

      Some Dude there are no stickers on my gauges, they don't suck anything when I ride, my bike doesn't have climate control, there isn't anyone with a zx-14 running a $100 turbo, and all turbos need oil lines! Hahaha everything I said I have above is in the video.... there's no bs in what I'm saying! Weather you feel it's overpriced or not.. that's what I have and that's what it cost!

    • @somedude3639
      @somedude3639 Před 7 lety

      well ill never pay that much cus I'm not a dumb ass. an you shouldn't include in the video that you put a new overlay on already owned gauges if your going to claim you got new/different gauges

      I have built engines in the past, I bored out the crankcases of my ZX10 tomcat, fitted ZX11 block bored to 1109cc @ 12:1 compression. I bored my GPZ900R to 972cc.

    Man you went through a lot of unnecessary stuff TRYINtG TO PROVE you can fix it yourself. I'm sure you spent some $$$ that you couldn't saved just by going to the right professional folks and having it DONE RIGHT oppose to your Sink or Swim style of working on things that you are not sure about.
    I'm just saying man. I hate to see a man go through unnecessary bs when they do not have to. All you had to do was be patient and make some more $$ or get the basics done and then fine tune it later on after the main thing; turbo was added and bike Dynoed!
