The problem with stubby exhausts is you’ll get false air/fuel readings. Especially at idle.

oh yeah bud about what i expected. I got my zx14r last week, they have about 20 more hp than the older zx14. I also used to have a cbr600. And the comparison is absolutely unreal. I'd be willing to wager that if you hopped on the zx14r, and shifted gears at only 7k rpm each time, you could STILL beat out a 600.

Which one was faster? Your turbo zx14 or the supercharged h2?

yeah baby. i swear to god, the way zx14s speedo needle runs to the top is mind bugling.

I had a zx14 for 12 years and wanted toget a big tourer but got a zx14r instead. I can see thedifference as it just slams the revs up. All i could think of is did you mod your headlights as i usually just restricted to 60 mph at night....plus I live in country West Australia and we have kangaroo's skipping across the road at dusk and night. Ive come close a few times to hitting them. Even had one start to leap and missed it as it landedbehind my bike. I smelled its fur. My wife was on the back tucked down and didntk ow how close we came to death. We were flying at least 80 mph. Since then i drive in the middle of the road and reduce my speed and upgraded headlights in our vehicles.

How much was the RCC labor costs and what other engine work needed to be done? I heard that the 14 gets spun bearings easily and needs the oil pump mod before you dive into turbo builds

Stretched and lowered? How can I Turbo a ZX14R but keep suspension completely stock and using pump gas? I live with shitty roads and have scraped my oil pan and broke one of my dual mufflers already. I actually need a 2 - 3 inch lift or stick with a CRF450L to haul ass.

Nice zx14 and h2 ! i have a zx14 too , been thinking of going turbo , didnt know that it can be that much of a head ache , so happy you were able to recover and ride again ! i have had my share of spills too , thank God for good safety equipment ! you should rebuild night mare again bro !

I’ve had 2008 ZX14 for 7 years now has 87,000km. I bought another one, 2008 with 10,000. RCC is quoting me tomorrow for Stage 2, forged engine parts. Etc.
