So I installed ProLine Trencher LPs on my Maxx and when I go into setup on the app there is a place to choose which tire you are running. My tire isnt listed. So now what do I choose not knowing the diameter of the listed tires?
Two ways to address this... You can Google the tires listed in the app for specs on their diameter. So choose a tire in the app that matches your Trenchers that way. Or, put a GPS unit in the truck and adjust the number of teeth on the pinion gear in the app until the speed matches the GPS speed. Just try changing the number of teeth by say two at a time, I don't remember which way. So basically you're lying to the app. Also, go easy on the throttle so you don't spin and get a false reading. If you don't have a GPS unit, download a phone app. I prefer the second way, I've even tweaked my Xmaxx with stock tires to get it more accurate...
@@chilly7261 I have Maxx and added Traxxas Link module to my transmitter, installed the app. I’m seeing everything as I should except MPH. The gauge goes from 0 to 50 instantly. I contacted Traxxas support and was told I needed to add gps module to get speed info. Is this correct? I thought you could receive speed from motor rpm and gearing setup.
@@chilly7261 I’m showing spur gear 50, pinion gear 24, drive ratio gear 2 returns to 0.000 no matter what I put in there, and tires showing Maxx all terrrain 2.8. Not sure about the drive ratio gear 2 being zero. What do you show on yours?
Good video. Thanks for posting 👍
It works like the speedometer in your actual vehicle.
Actually that's true. Reads wheel speed...
So with just the link it will monitor everything? Or do I have to get other stuff for it to monitor the temp and stuff?
some models come with the sensor needed to Comm with the link. If no they are about $12

So does the Maxx come stock with some telemetry or did you have to buy it separately?
Has telemetry installed. Just need the bluetooth adapter and download the app.

@@Eric-ri9ju You should be able to get speed from gearing and tire size only. Check your tire size in the app.

@@Eric-ri9juHi, my Maxx behaves similar to yours. 0 or 50 when I press throttle. Any solution right now?
Dude what is that clamp on your phone holder? Traxxas makes a 15 dollar clamp with half that hardware. Good video though.
Dude. Watch some more of my videos. It's a Gopro clamp I used until my Traxxas clamp came in...
