    Thank you for your ideas on improving the handling on the Maxx. I will definitely use your ideas because as much as I like my Maxx, handling can be improved. Subscribed!!

    Thank you for taking it to the skate park and doing a bit of a bash. I was very curious to see how it did during a bash session! This gave me a feel for how it will perform! Sorry about your spur gear!

    I still have these M2C shock pistons sitting at home for my Sledge, need to install them already. Can’t wait to feel the difference.
    Your Maxx seems to be soaking up the impacts, nice run!

    What about sledge rears on all 4 corners? I put sledge rear springs on the rear of my wideMaxx, it helped alot

      What improvements did you feel the rear springs made? Are we taking handling on the flat or hitting big jumps?

    One thing I hate about Maxx & Xmaxx is how gravel gets stuck in the steering bell cranks so annoying lol

      Yes! I’ve tried mesh covers but they cause heat issues in warm weather

    My ESC broke on me too! I was having issues since I bought it so I put my mamba monster x in. The only thing is idk how to power the front and rear light bar now since the power distributed can’t connect to the stock ESC. Do you recommend anything?

    • @rcilluminati26
      @rcilluminati26  Před 7 měsíci

      You can get an inexpensive bec that you can power from the battery or possibly even power it from the receiver which should be 5v.

    Stock shocks with the right oil works perfect for me on my Ramps.

    • @rcilluminati26
      @rcilluminati26  Před rokem

      For bashing and jumping, stock with heavier oil works fine but I was also running mine at a track and the rear worked like crap no matter what I did. The leverage on the rear shocks is all wrong. Fronts work well everywhere, rear is way too soft.

    That was an awesome run dude, but, those motor fans wowzers they are really loud almost ear piercing, maybe its because i'm autistic and have sensitive hearing. Great bash mate 👌👍

      If I remember right, these are wheels of my Arrma Mojave. You need to get the 17mm hex from Traxxas.

    So I ordered 2 sets of long Sledge shocks today. I'll put them on the back and try them out, and then put them on the front as well to see how it compares having all 4 on there and let you know. You mention that the Sledge shock caps do not work on the Maxx. Is it the cap or the pillow ball that is the issue? I'm wondering if you put the Maxx pillow ball in the Sledge shock cap would it work?

    • @rcilluminati26
      @rcilluminati26  Před rokem

      Sorry for delay but I think the pillow ball is a different size if I recall. How did it work out?

    • @donald2818
      @donald2818 Před rokem +1

      @@rcilluminati26 thanks yeah it is the pillow ball and you can’t swap the balls either. I have all 4 shocks on with about a 6mm stop inside the shock. Haven’t taken out yet but will let you know once I do.

      I limited the down travel, hopefully no issues but I’d imagine the outdrive cups will wear a bit faster. It’s worth it though. I think it handles a lot better
