Extremely Useless Machine: 1 min / side

My previous video did really well - thank you - but it was mentioned that the jump cuts prevented seeing the machine properly...
Here. Have a minute uninterrupted of each side and a minute from above.

We must have been building our similarly useless machines around the same time! Funny how stuff happens like that. I had my do-nothing machine ver. 1.0 built a few weeks ago and already had it uploaded and scheduled and then you built something very similar! You nailed it on your production quality, thumbnail, music, and all. Great job.

Oh I love these arbitrary machines so much… seeing one at age 8 in a Madrid toy shop is what got me into Meccano.
What is the floor made of? Are those Erector baseplates, or a home-made platform?

Glad you liked it.
The floor is made of 3mm plyboard which I did some CAD drawings for and had lasercut. There is a video showing how I did it a few months ago.

Excellent again! I think a fun idea to do is have an actual model engine (whether it be steam or internal combustion) to power this machine. It would be a cool feature :)

Thank you. I do have a Mamod steam engine which could power it, but it's a bit messy and smelly for indoors. When the weather warms up a bit I will have a go at setting it up in the garage.
