paying thousands in tuition fees to teach myself on youtube sums up college really
University is basically paying for a diploma, and passing tests during 4+ years to earn it. The education system doesn’t actually want you to remember most of what you learnt, but if you were to need in your professional life a topic which was covered during you school days, learning that topic again will be much faster than the first time. It’s most likely not the best model but it works for most, leaving some people
advantaged and others the opposite.

The fact that my professor actually told me to "just Google for a tutorial" for our first time using SPSS, really says a lot...
Couldn't have said it any better. Here I am spending thousands of pounds to a university only to learn how to use SPSS on CZcams. Worst investment ever

@rented identity Its actually because they are too smart that they dont know how normal students struggle to learn. They teach as if they are teaching to students of their caliber. Thats the problem. They need to emphathise and understand students POV.
