How much gold you use on the hubcaps
Great video so to strip chrome are you using current or voltage? I have the other machine that does not strip chrome so I have another machine that does strip chrome but not sure what my setting should be so negative or ground goes to the part and the positive goes on the anode/pen
Is it heat resistant? Would it work for crankcase covers on a Harley Davidson?

How do you actually do Rose Gold?
Rose Gold should be the same process as if you were plating with regular gold. We do have Rose Gold solution on our website.
How come the gold solution is so watery and not really hard gel?
We put distilled water in the gel so it was a more liquid consistency just so we could still have it stick to the part but also cover more surface area.
Hopefully this don't sound crazy but can you gold plate polished aluminum wheels
That is a common question. So our products are not able to plate aluminum. There is people that do plate aluminum in nickel and then you would be able to plate gold onto the nickel layer. I hope this helps.

Yeah you can put a clear coat on your items and it increases the longevity of the gold

If your banjo does not have chrome pieces and it is just nickel all you will need to get it plated is electro-cleaner, surface activator, and the Bright Gold.

Why not 'strip' complete hubcap first, then 'activate' complete hubcap, then 'gold plate' complete hubcap? Then you don't have to worry about sections, interference, no constantly switch material, etc. Or does it take too much fime in the air and does it get oxidated then or something?
And why 'strip' the chrome itself first anyway? Doesn't stick the gold to it?
We do it in sections because we don't want the part to dry out because it won't plate properly if it is dried and we move on to the next steps in the process. Gold does not plate onto chrome.
How can i protect the finish of a 24k knock off ?
You could put a clear coat over the top so it will last a lot longer

Good question. I have the exact same machine and the gold is NOT cheap.
We didn't plate all 4 of them but one hubcap used about a 1/3 of a 4oz jar of 24k Brush Gel Gold

It depends on the conditions that it is in and how thick you plate the gold.

Honestly I can't think of a reason why someone would. Just don't plate it from the start.

When plating, gold is anode. Reverse the process. Make gold as cathod. It will deplate
