This video describes how to modify config.txt file on boot partition to enable using the new display.
No separate touch drivers needed.
config.txt download and replace in your boot partition

Thanks for your video. I bought one of these several years ago and just recently brought it out of its box. The hookup to the RPi 4 was painless, but I needed your help and config.txt info to get it working on the RPi 3B+. Very nice display and hope to use it in a project soon. Thanks again.

Hello sir, I want to use the SkyTraq S1216F8‐GI3 L5 NavIC + L1 GPS/GLONASS Receiver Module for my final year project to get coordinates through the NavIC constellation. Which breakout board should I use for it. Also how can I interface SkyTraq S1216F8‐GI3 with Arduino or ESP8266. Any help from your side will be very grateful.

Is the creation of the SSH file and modification of config.txt really required? As I am able to see the Pi's display in the screen.

Hi, just got a 7" touchscreen that is not working 100%. I was told to compile a universal touch driver “hid-Multitouch” into the kernel which is all greek to me. Was yours a plug and play or did you have to configure hiveos/linux?

Sir first of all thanks a lot for this tutorial. I have that clone display model and rasberry pi 4 and i was trying to figure out how to connect and ended up here watching your tutorial. First I tried without the ssh and the config file changes but it did not boot, when I did the changes and tried, it did boot but I am not able to use the touch screen(I inserted in the touch slot in display mentioned by you) and also my display is flickering. What could be the reason? Please help.
Seems to be power issue. Ensure that you use more than 2 AMP 5V power adapter. Try plugging to different USB port of RPI.
config.txt file must be included with the lines :
max_usb_current=1
hdmi_cvt=1024 600 60 6 0 0 0
which sets up the current capacity of usb port and the correct resolution as seen on the box of your display.

had same issue, but moving from usb 3.0 to normal usb port fixed it for me.

Who's great idea was it to put the connectors at the edge of the display? Ok for a standalone unit, MAYBE. A nightmare for a panel mount, where space not available on the side.
