- After Margaret's success in Journey for Margaret, she appeared in several small roles while Lost Angel was being prepared for her. In 1943, she was one of Lionel Barrymore's patients in Dr. Gillespie's Criminal Case. Her part is small, but she has one of her best lines when she asks Lionel Barrymore, "Why don't you and I go out sometime and ring some doorbells?"

What a fantastic little actress ! Amazing and brilliant the sweet girl for of talent !
Margaret and Lionel adorable together! He was very fond of her and she said in an interview he was like her Grandpa she never had. They did another movie together Three Wise Fools which I can't find.

🥰 🥰 🥰 💕💞💕 I love her, what a little actress she was❣ I have always enjoyed Shirley Temple movies and she was a great little actress but I don't understand why Margaret O'Brien Kev near as many movies as Shirley Temple. Talk about a natural actress for a little girl like that , she didn't even seem like she was acting, as if she became the character she was portraying And boy was she ever the "town cryer" 🥰🦠 ✝ RIP ✝
