Berrada agreed to join Man Utd in Dec , he is on gardening leave until July 1st. His departure from Man City was negotiated a long time ago. Berrada is the guy who should be doing no work for United until July 1st, but in Feb is negotiating with Ashworth to join Man Utd. So both Berrada & Man Utd are breaching agreement made with Man City. Ashworth released his contract details to Berrada, so breached his agreement to Newcastle & Brighton. It’s clear that Man Utd acted in bad faith….but how many other clubs do this ? Probably 99% but are not stupid enough to record it on internal emails

Manutd can pay up or sod off. As far as nufc are concerned it's like industrial espionage, inside information available to a rival. Fair play to the toon they did exactly what any other company would do in that situation. Same old story. Manutd trying to buy up the competitors top guys to try and weaken them and finally it looks to have bitten the back. They deserve each other.

Time for the Premier League and the FA to prove their governance procedures are working. A transfer ban and a fine for Manchester United if Berrada did make any contacts with Ineos e mail accounts, and lengthy bans from any football related activities for Berrada and Ashworth.

10M Would be fair compensation for poaching a staff member under contract who is subsequently put on gardening leave to prevent him leaking scouting reports etc. Fair for any other club, but as its MU who consider themselves above the rules of the game, £15m sounds a fair compromise together with an FA charge for tapping up.

It is very naive for anyone to think that there is any honour left in Ashworth, or Ratcliffe considering the shenanigans that have been exposed, they need to take notice that neither of these individuals will think twice about breaking any agreement for them to refrain from conducting business while Asworth is supposedly on gardening leave. You.can bet your bottom dollar tho they will have been clandestinely having meetings and discussing the what’s and whyfors, regarding transfers targets , and Newcastle United plans for the upcoming season. A pair of snakes for sure, the future will reveal what nefarious tactics these two have been up to.

Newcastle should let arbitration run it's cousre. That figure is only a suggestion, and i believe, that having a competent professional (regardless of his snake-like character! )added to our executives, will help to cut down our frivolous spending habits,in ways that could recoup that amount within two windows.(At any other club a simple eyebrow raise whould be enough to give an Antony-type transfer a sidestep. Alas...)

OK we paid to get him from whoever, then he connives to get a job somewhere else, there must be some way that NUFC can enforce the contract or make Man U pay a proper compensation. If he has to go on "Gardening Leave" we could argue that he has brought that upon himself by his actions and that we are perfectly entitled to demand that he doesn't work for anyone else and since he is not actually working for us in our best interests that we don't have to pay him any money. then he could be looking at serving Gardening Leave for a long time with no money coming in. Which based on his behaviour he deserves, the man has no moral integrity and NUFC are better off without him.
