    😵‍💫 Eggplant 😆
For xlarge zucchini, I make zucchini flour from it. Peel completely, remove all seeds, slice thin and dehydrate. (Seeds won’t dehydrate well.) Place dehydrated zucchini in a high speed blender and blend into a flour.
Use the flour 1:1 for regular flour -and you won’t taste zucchini flavor in whatever you use it for. Like brownies, pancakes and much much more. 💖

I grew my own popcorn last year using seeds from a jar of popcorn from the grocery store just as an experiment. It was THE BEST popcorn ever! I love how they look and I can't wait to finish assembling my beds before the growing season. This is the best gardening channel - am learning sooo much

As a new gardener inheriting a previously used garden bed, you might be wondering: Should I add new soil to the existing bed, and what's the best approach to deal with small rocks in the soil? Additionally, for Zone 7b, what are the recommended plants to direct sow, and when is the optimal time to sow them?

Glad to see the Northern and Southeastern gardeners in the mix. I'm in Maryland in zone 7b, so my climate is much more similar to a combination of theirs than it is to Kevin's Epic garden in California. The peanut discussion was interesting and makes me wonder where I can find a few more square feet to experiment with.

Thanks for the video because it helps me prioritze what seeds I need to start in zone 8A. I am so behind with starting seeds, I've been focusing more on my fruit trees and fertilizing. As a Jamaican, I love the hibiscus/roselle feature. We make Jamaican sorrel with it.

Great advice! I love these spotlights on specific crops because I'm very new to gardening, and one of the things I include in my garden notes each year is a list of suggestions for next year--things I can try with each crop to avoid the problems I've encountered this year, or general tips on getting better growth and harvests. And then I also record the measurements of my best representative of that crop from year to year to see if my suggestions actually did anything. So I watch these videos with my iPhone in hand, adding to my Notes app file as you go. :)

Great video! I'm in Texas growing a few of the recommended plants including the roselle, which Jamaicans call sorrel. Meg is right. It is very delicious and good to make various recipes. In Jamaica, sorrel is famous for being the number one holiday drink with a little spike during the Christmas season.😄😀

Hello. In Greece we have 2 most common types of peanuts. The common peanuts that were shown in the video and the aegina peanuts (as we call them here) which they do grow from trees. Maybe thats why people believe common peanuts grow from trees. I was one of them just a few months ago :) .

People don't realize the most efficient size to pick the best meat zucchini is around 10 to 18 in long, when the peel is still very tender along with the meat, but it is large enough that you can slice it down the middle and scoop the seeds out so you're eating 100% meat, instead of so many people only wanting the 6-in babies, where you have to still eat the seeds. Oftentimes, different summer squash and zucchini will remain very tender up to 20 in or more, pure meat no seeds when you scoop it out and enough to feed more people quickly when cooking for a group.
