Finally someone that uses a pipe bender to build an exhaust system. Love the job your doing, I might be doing one of these swaps in the near future, thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching! We wanted to show "real world" custom exhaust and all the work that goes into it.
@@UglyTruckExperience my dad used to build exhaust systems with a pipe bender too. I don't like how alot do exhaust now with all tiny pieces, looks horrible to me.
Bending exhaust pipe is a dying art. Buying a tubing bender is a big investment for a shop, and usually a pipe dream for hobbyists (pun intended!). But the amount of welding on all those tiny pieces is a ton of work too, and unless you're a pro, the finished product doesn't look as nice as custom bent exhaust. I know my welds wouldn't cut it! :D
As I said, a pipe bender is a dream for most hobbyists, but where there's a will, there's a way. Anyone out in the shop getting things done (bender or not) gets an A+ in our book!
That pipe bender is awsome. I have had to make exhaust from parts store bend pieces and just cut and welding... i actually had to cut a piece from front to back to shrink diameter... rerolled it and welded up the middle and it worked.
It really is a great machine. I just replaced all of the hydraulic seals in it which was a nightmare, but every time I use that machine I am grateful that it is there. Jerry
What a relaxing video. Great detail job.
Thanks for watching! Exhaust can be a boring job, but we try to make it interesting. 😊
Came out good.
That machine gives me good memories, when I, used to work at Midas Muffler love that machine I still remember how to work that machine I need my exhaust done on my car there’s a fellow where I work in Kentucky has that machine and tells me He does not know how to make tail pipes in my car doesn’t make sense or maybe it does I would copy the old tail pipe and go about that when I worked at Midas Muffler we had cards will tell you to bend it 80° to 60° things like that I would love to take a drive up to your shop I gotta show you my car there’s things that you know that I don’t know as well I would love to meet you thank you 🙏 Great channel love it Anthony Seger
Thanks for watching! We appreciate your comments! 😊
Things thry know that you don't like how to use punctuation?

Thanks David!
You are a true MASTER MECHANIC I just found your channel and have been watching your LS swap videos. I have an 82 square body C10 that I would love to swap, where are you located?
Thanks so much for your comment! We appreciate you watching! 👍 We are in southwest Missouri.
Have done any K-10 square bodies? And if so what headers do you recommend? I’ll be installing a 4.8 with a NV3500 transmission and NP208 transfer case.
We have a 74 k10 that we have 6.0 and a 4l60e in. Have not done headers on any of our swaps. I prefer the exhaust manifolds for a few reasons. People that I have asked have said they have had no problems with the cheap Ebay or Amazon headers.
I have a 87 Sierra and I’m tryna ls swap but I’m not sure how to do the wiring. I took my ls engine from a suburban 2005.
You'll need to know exactly which engine you have (LM7, L59, etc) and find the wiring diagrams for that engine and trans, and for your truck. Each one is different, but check out these 2 videos and it should make sense. Just make yourself a list and do 1 circuit at a time, and it's not too bad. czcams.com/video/T01jWSJttBI/video.html czcams.com/video/d8mcQl-rYr4/video.html
Which muffler are those flowmaster ??40s????
They are Walker Dynamax 17733.
Are you guys going to show the wiring part?
Oh yeah! We're doing the fuel system next, then wiring.
@@UglyTruckExperience awesome i just stumbled across this channel and love the content plus I plan on swapping my 87 c10
@@angelrojas2823 Sweet! Thanks for watching! It's a lot of work, but it's definitely worth it in the end. Best of luck with your truck! 👍
Are cats necessary?
We have vehicle inspections here in MO, so unfortunately yes. If it came with a cat from the factory, it has to have one now.
Wyl I got a ugly truck that needs a swap???
👋 We're in southwest Missouri near Springfield.
