This is an excerpt from my documentary "How Alex Pereira Speedran the UFC". Alex Pereira is the former 2-division Glory Kickboxing World Champion who ventured to the UFC to hunt Israel Adesanya and make him pay for the comments Adesanya made regarding Pereira being a bitter former opponent drinking in a bar. Alex Pereira debuted in the UFC in 2021 at UFC 268, knocking out Andreas Michailidis with a spectacular flying knee. Afterward, Alex Pereira defeated Bruno Silva via Unanimous decision to earn a number 1 contendership spot against former middleweight champion Sean Strickland at UFC 268. Pereira knocked out Sean Strickland at UFC 276 to earn a title shot against Israel Adesanya at UFC 281. Israel Adesanya was Alex Pereira's Rival in Kickboxing, where Alex Pereira had beaten Adesanya twice in Glory Kickboxing: Once via decision and once via knockout. At UFC 281, Alex Pereira overcame adversity by knocking out Israel Adesanya to become the UFC middleweight champion. Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya would rematch at UFC 287, where Adesanya got his revenge by knocking out Alex Pereira. At UFC 291, Alex Pereira defeated former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz to earn a vacant UFC light heavyweight championship fight against former light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295. Alex Pereira knocked out Jiri Prochazka to become UFC light heavyweight champion and became the fighter to reach UFC double champion in the quickest time of 2 years. Alex Pereira then fought Jamahal Hill at UFC 300 on April 13th as the main event.

Guy said Alex is a former middleweight, he seemed to forget Pereira also was a light heavyweight champ over in Glory
And when Alex is not fighting he also weighs enough to be a heavyweight
No I think he knows nothing about the sport. Pereira walks around 235 (According to a photo 3 months before a title fight) And he's very lean around that weight too. He's literally larger than Jiri
@@ChoppaG15his walk around weight is closer to light heavy weight than heavyweight
@@t1000meltyHow? A man that walks around 230lbs is a pure heavyweight. Albeit leaner than most but still a Heavyweight. Miocic weighed in at 234lbs when he fought Ngannou in the second fight.
@@yehiak8711he rehydrated at 214 for the Izzy fight, do you bs often?
No, it was a good fight. Alex didn't knock him out with that punch but did drop him and ref stopped the fight after the elbows to the head. That left hook really is unusually powerful cause all it can take is one. Crazy.
The thing was is Alex wasn't a MW going to LHW he was a HW having to cut less weight than usual
I believe Jiri was winning that second round pretty easily and I believe, but with alex all it takes is just one mistake.
It was a good match alex is just a demon
Jiri was the perfect matchup for Pereira. No ground game or defense whatsoever. Basically a sentient heavy bag.
Gonna be a good fight
But the fight happened a yeat ago
Not that long
No I think this is a good matchup why it’s bad?
