    I still can’t believe Stipe took 8 punches from the most powerful puncher alive got knocked down and still hit back this is the fighter with the most heart ever if you ever got knocked down by some guy you know how hard it is to punch back in that momment everything in your body tells you to protect yourself instead of hitting back the fact that he throwed back against the strongest puncher after all those hits is the craziest thing i saw in combat sport history this dude has all of my respect

      Well a fighters heart can only get you so far. When you get outclassed like this your grit will only hold you up on your feet till you get even more brutally hit and then your lights is out. Stipe didnt need more determination or heart, he was too scared to engage or adapt creatively and got punished for it. Stipe seems like a cool dude but neither his”honorable” demeanor nor his warrior heart is going to win him his fights in the big league from a technicality perspective he performs like this again. In my opinion he is done and should quit before getting seriously hurt. This is UFC, and its brutal. This is not a fairy tail and sadly for one to go up one must fall down and stipe hit the canvas stiff and hard.

    It is not just that Francis learned from the first fight, Stipe had no idea what to do. He was fighting scared not a single attempt with his hands. The only takedown he went for was from across the galaxy, and it was easy to stop. When he landed his right his body was already miles away because he was anticipating getting hit. Those few seconds where he could have landed something behind the right were gone. Francis was already reseted and ready to go. Stipe had no game plan and fought scared

      You’re right. Stipe looked so, so hesitant and always expecting the worst in this fight. I remember noticing it immediately when I watched it live. I love Stipe but I knew he was fucked when it came out that they were fighting in the small octagon, but watching his demeanor from the start of the fight drove it home. Francis is fucking intimidating, and a francis who’s terrifed to lose to you again is way scarier

    • @larncieldarknciel440
      @larncieldarknciel440 Před rokem +10

      @@jt7331 When you are scared the best Course of action is to clinch or go for the takedown. Once you get dirty fighting becomes easy as breathing. Stipe just couldn't get started. He should have committed to the clinch or grappling. Francis is used to finishing his fights quick, so if you take him to deeper waters the speed of his punches gets diminished considerably. This fight just reminds me of Shogun Rua. In his last fight, Shogun Rua landed a nice right on his opponent, but he is so used to his punches missing or doing no damage than when he landed the punch and hurt his opponent, it took him a second and you can see the look of disbelief in his face, but worse there was no killing instinct. He is so used to getting counter that He didn't go after the wounded wolf. He actually stare at him for awhile allowing the guy to recover, and that's why Shogun loss that fight and that's why stipe was already across the galaxy when he landed that punch by the time he realized it was significant the impact from that punch was gone.

    I'm here after Nagannou was KO'd by Anthony Joshua. People must realise that these human speciments represent the pinnacles of human power in combat sports.
    From that defeat, nothing is taken from Ngannou, but you must understand that MMA and Boxing are completely different.
    The situation is reciprocal: if Anthony Joshua fights in MMA, he would get smoked, Ngannou fights in boxing, he will get smoked by more skilled fighters.
    As a huge Ngannou fan, I was expecting this outcome. Ngannou may be red for MMA, but for boxing, he is still green.
    Boxing requires a level of finesse that is getting lost in the possibilities of clinching and grappling, and as we all know, Ngannou shows little finesse in his punches, as shown against Rosentruik, Overeem and even here against Miocic.
    He may have lots of power but lacks technique, which takes years to master and not few months of training. His positioning, composure, and fainting require a lot of work. If in MMA brute force gets you through, you knock your opponent, and then you proceed to pound his head against the canvas, but in boxing all combat is standing, and these shortcuts are cut off.
    In the end, as an MMA fan, the AJ fight was a reality check for all those people who shat on the sport, thinking that boxing could be absorbed by MMA.

    Миочич зашуганный вышел, исход практически очевиден был.
    Все эти "дружеские рукопожатия" через каждых 2 минуты выдают ментально сломленного человека - а сопернику только добавляют уверенности.
    Миочич по ходу забыл, что он не на дружеский спаринг выходит, а в углу противника стоит чел, который обещал оторвать ему голову...

    Everything in this fight seem to go Francis way he defends the takedown gets on top dealing heavy shots, almost a head kick and eventually big knockdown and a left hook perfectly on Stipe's chin. Francis looks 15-20 lbs heavier so more dangerous early rounds. Not a huge Francis fan myself I do think he is like a big hammer not quick, agile or technical but sometimes a big hammer is all you need and being patient was a good gameplan

    Wow, you could tell Ngannou made Stipe pay for coming in with the take down. The entire rest of the fight, Stipe has a look on his face of "Okay, I gotta be way more careful cause he's going to punch me out. And I'm not sure if I should try that again".

    Stipe at 2:24 knew he was in trouble. When Francis stuffed that takedown and flowed smooth as silk to take his back to the ground and pound. You see it in his eyes. It’s a whole new beast in that arena and he’s hungry for revenge. Nice nice nice
