We had our regular crew change just before the outbreak in Brunei. Helicopter ride from Anduki Helidrome., very well run by Brunei Shell Aviation Dept, SAV.
Protocols were changed when Covid-19 hit Brunei. We were onboard then. Safety stand down was call by Vessel Management to discuss about the happenings and our action hereafter.
We greeted our colleagues in other ways, we had a more stringent washing regime for our common spaces onboard the vessel.As for our Kirby Morgan diving hats we used the solution recommended by them. Initially we sprayed Sanizide plus, let it be for 5 mins, rinsed and go back diving. A new procedure was put up whereby we had to soak the oral nasal for 10 mins as recommended by Kirby Morgan. We changed the used oral nasal to a fresh one,sanitized and soaked prior and continued diving. Every Sunday we have a Safety stand down meeting regarding Covid-19 . Vessel management team would address the crew and inform the latest official news from office or Brunei Govt. There was a campaign onboard called ‘ We stay at work for you, you stay at home for us.’ Prints were made and spread on social media.

May I ask sir? Where did you go for commercial diving course? Like which school and is it overseas or local?
For my Air diving course I went to The Underwater Centre, Fremantle. Australia. Unfortunately the school has closed down. And for my Saturation course I went to INPP Marseille, France… as seen in the video😀

@@viteshpillai9091 i saved up to go for my Air diving course by working some civils’ job. Took about 1-2years. And I saved up for my Saturation course when working as an Air diver offshore. You can also get loans for the courses but I did not want to owe the banks so I had to save.🙏
