Shallow water jobs, Brunei offshore (feat. BLNG) Kreuz Challenger

DSV Kreuz Challenger was engaged to do a job (jobs in fact) at BLNG; thus the title feat. BLNG. We left the deep Brunei offshore for shallow water(s) near Seria. Scope of jobs include Marine Fender replacement and Inspection of piles. It was a collaboration between SPHI Kreuz Subsea and BRUNEI LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS (BLNG) also BRUNEI SHELL PETROLEUM (BSP). It was done successfully in 5 days, 13-17 of July including inspection of BD04. Intensive Planning was done much earlier by our engineering department and BLNG engineers. Details were looked into by OCS Shane and Dive Supervisors onboard Kreuz Challenger and BSP APs.
We rendezvous with MV Executive Aspire to get the Marine Fender. Our Riggers had to go to shore to assist in topside work. Rigger foreman Bunya joined the BLNG Riggers on day shift and rigger Joey Tan worked with BLNG Supervisor Rifhan and foreman Arif during nights. It was raining every night. We were fully drenched in the night. There was good teamwork and cooperation between the deck crew, dive team, BLNG team and Marine crew to ensure that the job went smoothly.

I used the GoPro 5 for most of the shots and IPhone 7 at times.
There’s hardly any underwater shots this time round. My apologies, we were quite preoccupied and there was hardly any proper metallic place to secure the camera subsea, in order to get good shots. Worth mentioning, visibility was not good most of the time😪.
On deck I just had the camera on top of a magnet and it sticks well on our vessel surface. Other times I just held it by hand, take the shot required, and back to my pocket. Truly a good action camera very robust and sturdy. 🥰GoPro 🥰
Editing was initially done on GoPro Apps QUIK. However it developed some problems when I was finalising the video. I tried many times but it kept ‘crashing’.
I turned to imovie in my MacBook Pro to complete the editing. Thanks Apple!
