Pasila + Tripla from Above!
Relieve some stress by exploring some of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Helsinki, Finland from the bird's-eye perspective of a drone.
Today our flight will be above Pasila (Böle in Swedish), featuring several highlights that you'll surely enjoy. Pasila is a major transportation hub including trains (the second busiest railway station in Finland), trams and buses. The mall above and next to the station is called Tripla, and it opened in October 2019, becoming the largest shopping mall in northern Europe (by leasable units). The whole complex also includes a hotel, apartments and parking spaces.
You will also identify the Hartwall Arena, which is a major multi-functional indoor arena with seating for about 10 000 - 14 000 depending on the event - ranking 3rd in the largest indoor arenas in the Nordics. It's home for the Helsinki Jokerit, which is one of the major hockey teams in the city. We will also fly next to Messukeskus, which is Finland's largest convention center, and which usually hosts about 100 fairs and 2 200 meetings/events a year.
You may be wondering what those two telecom towers are. The green one is Elisa's, the market leader in mobile and fixed network subscriptions in Finland, founded in 1882. The concrete one is 146m high (479ft) and belongs to Yle, which is Finland's national public broadcasting company. It's used for television and radio broadcasting. DNA is another telecommunications group with a presence in Pasila, so this neighborhood is quite a telecom and media center!
