while it is likely that solos won't come, but we all remember that the devs said that crossprogression wasn't possible, and here we are losing our items for crossprogression
It's because the current engine (source) was never meant for cross progression and never had it in mind
How can a company be that stubborn about not bringing solo mode when near 75% of the player base likely want it. I don't mind trios but once u get frustrated at randoms, u just wish you could solo Q in solos.

This reminds me of the Rumble Royale leaks, which was said to be a solos mode where you didn't use normal legend abilities and instead picked up abilities you found aswell as special weapon mods. Some recent files have made this potentially possible.

I think EA/respawn are desperate to keep players happy so they will change their mind on solo and quads to keep the game spicy
100%. Drop solos when the game is active, thriving and everyone is hyping it, nah. Drop solos 3-4 years after the hype has died down while running into hackers, glitches, loss of players, etcetera, yah.

I would %100 play apex more if there is solos. And I don’t agree with the narrative that there would only be path/wraith. Back then there was a smaller amount of legends. You could easily choose more legends that could do well in solos now.

that's true, it would be more diverse, i for one would still play Caustic because he's my main and is pretty good solo too, but rather than making some character too strong it would also make some pretty useless, like Lifeline, but mixtape already does that anyway. Maybe implement separate perk balancing for solos and trios, just a thought.
I remember vividly there was still quite a bit of diversity in legend selection in my lobbies from solos.
People have different playstyles and different strengths as well that would impact their character decision. Even if you throw out that as anecdotal, who cares if everyone is playing the same legend? How is this different from how the game works already? Or how the ALGS looks? People already are picking the same legends over and over and it doesn't really matter. There are more legends to choose from now with more robust skill sets than ever before as well as portable redeploy balloons that can help legends with no movement reach difficult camping spots.
The game is quite literally completely different from what it was back in 2019. Solely relying on the excuse that Apex Legends is a team based game was thrown out the moment they added the no-fill option to the game. Now all that's left is to even the playing field. Just give us solos. I know a lot of players will permanently migrate over to that mode specifically, but I think most will still try to play with friends when they have the opportunity.
@@sleet9289 There's no need to, if certain legends aren't used it really doesn't matter. Like I said in my comment, you don't see the ALGS implementing every character into the competition. They choose the ones best suited for their playstyle or whatever is *meta* at the time.
Over balancing just leads to confusion. Someone like Lifeline had plenty of strength (back in season 2) in Solos because she had fast heals as a passive and could pop a battery in like 2.3 seconds while simultaneously using her health drone. Even now she is the only character in the game with a self-revive and can call in high powered loot with her care package. She would absolutely still be viable in Solos. That's why people still use her in Mixtape, it all depends on your playstyle and preferences. Conduit doesn't even have a passive while playing solo but that's not stopping people from using her 😂
Wattson in solos was absolutely cracked. No one could push your building because they didnt have teammates to flank. And no one could stop you from taking their building because they didnt have teammates and couldnt watch all 20 angles at once
I feel like Ash will actually get a chance to shine in solos if it does come back, maybe I'll FINALLY be able to use her ult the way i'm supposed to (engaging fights) without convincing my neanderthal teammates to take my phase tears 😍😍😍😍😍
Who knows. At the time Respawn said Solos turned out to be actively bad for the game (trio queues got worse), but I maybe circumstances have changed.
Am I the only one who wants solos but without abilities. Hell could make legend hopups or something to get abilities mid game would be fun I think.
If they wanna be money hungry about just add no abilities mode throw the legend abilities into items add a customizable character you could buy cosmetics for new mode a lot of new cosmetics solos everyone’s happy and we’ll fix the bugs from it later 😂 ea hire me.

The fact that in casual trios, players leave as soon as they get knocked, solos can only be a good thing. Either that or make it so u cant leave for a minute or two after getting knocked in trios to make it worthwhile playing.
Quads are essential and solos are essential
There is also a possibility that respawn said it won't come because they wanted us to be surprised when it did come 🤷♂️ either way it would be a good addition for people like me who don't have friends
I hope solos come back. I'm tired of getting paired with noobs or people disconnect. Their answers about was lazy. They did it before and they can do it again and make it permanent. I hate being forced being paired with someone. Who has zero brain cells.

If I'm a gold level casual player that gets killed by only masters and preds in pubs lobbies... then there are too many of those players, so spread them all out even more. Or do a no pre-made teams option in pubs. Than us casuals would have a chance.

The debate with respawn and solos and iron crown event is completely BS and need to end, thier iron crown greediness killed Apex at the time not SOLOs. No one played Apex or solos because of the iron crown controversy, not because solos failed, they are using it as a scapegoat plain and simple and everyone needs to call them out on it and demand solos to return.
I will believe it when I see it but I really doubt solos or quads will ever be a part of this game but if they are smart and want this game to survive for a few more years then they should bring it back and have ranked on it and duos all separate from one another
Apex would really benefit from a mode where you could get a huge team with one teammate picking from each type of legend. Its so expansive and theres so much potential, i just wish they just took it by the nuts

If this happens, it's definitely going to be in mixtape. You know how respawn always tests thing in a limited time event before they fully release it? Kinda weird that April fools Trios is in mixtape right now...
The reason they moved it there is because kills and damage weren't counting and then we had the massive bug/glitch that reset people's accounts so a lot of people didn't even get to play it because they didn't want to log in.
The problem respawn isn’t running the show is much anymore EA is which is why those modes are coming.

Bad thing about solos was that "third-partying" was even worse than trios. You would have to run and hide while 10 other players that heard your shots will go hard W your way (KC u can hear across the map). Everyone was a sweat. Never like it too much, wasn't fun for me back in the day
I mean we are used to 6 guys shooting you currently if you get third partied so same stuff
So i made diamond 4, but went back to plat 1 becauae its always been highest rank. Nope plat 1 the first split. Im done playing this game.
If u wanna play solo, just play pubs , your teammates die as soon as possible and quit so you’re left completely alone
They won’t add solos cuz not all characters are meant for that characters who are made to support there team and nothing else becoming almost useless for solos apex cares about every character they put out and wants each one to have there own fan base kinda supported by next seasons game mode so adding a solos would ruinin all of thay

I, a console player enjoy not fighting cheaters, not fighting people using key binds for impossible movement, if they force me to put up with PC lobbies to keep pc players happy then I'll just leave.

problem is that many people dont WANT to play m&k (i guess thats what you ment?), i am one of those, and before you force crossplay on people it has to be really fair

If they implement this feature to play kbm on console (as many games already have) I think people think it would automatically get more sweaty, but the matchmaking would have a lot more player to choose from near your skill level leading to more fair matches overall. Yes you might run into some good players but it would be more consistently near your level.
