I can see alter being like a prototype wraith who's experiment messed up her head and made her crazy like she could have multiple personalities and versions of her fighting for control in her head

I would assume she has a phase rewind esc. ability like fade does. Not only because he was a good character with likeable and smooth design but because the void trail is going in a strange direction at a strange angle. looks like a wraith had phased and then jumped off the roof to engage, but that can't be the case because it wasn't wraith who had been fighting. I think they used a 'phase rewind' (titanfall ability) to reverse back onto the roof and disengage.
maybe it has nothing to do with wraiths portal (the concept of setting up 2 portals and traveling between them) but it instead sends every player that walks through the circle back to where they have been a few seconds ago, so it always depends on the persons location a few seconds before

Also need to consider another possible teaser that can be found in the same Suotamo "news article" image referencing the upcoming new map. Below it is an article that was referencing Phase Technology ethics and effects on the brain, so that could be referencing Alter as well.
the levels of hypocrisy this game is reaching when it comes to characters. we have now three characters that have abilities that revolves around traveling through the void but lifeline can’t get a res shield because Newcastle now has one.
why does lifeline need a res shield again?

I would if Alter is gonna be "Jester" but touched up. Something makes me think she might be a wraith mirage hybrid. She obviously has some sort of "detect" to make the void message appear.
My guess is maybe she has a loba/vantage style ability. She can make a teleport ring and phase to it when she aims for it but it can only be grounded
Well, Respawn laid off many employees lately. So despite all the money they make, they look terrible as a company.

I never believe the somehow this legend is connected theories anymore. I remember the guesses for vantage and catalyst and it seems everyone is always dead wrong with the back stories.Hell some even tried to pull the ballistic is horizons son theory. its fun but the devs just dont care that much man.

This gives me a cool idea, imagine a wraith from another dimension, but honed her void skills differently (like fades, or something) and found a way to bridge their dimension because the "new wraith" doesn't believe old wraith can handle an upcoming event/story arch.

What if tge rings on the map r not alter abilities but instead new way of traversal. Like map updates or something. With the season being called season of the void it might not be to surprising

I uninstalled this game last week.
I just wanted a legend that summons dark clouds from the ground, cracks the ground doing the same hand animation old rev do, then the dark smoke pours out in a area covering the enemies within causing them ghostly visions for a brief time and the legend can see them if they open fire, and for the ability to phase the way revenant did in the kill code clip

it's "old" game play footage captured a little while ago before they nerfed the digi. At the time digi was still on r99 in game and they probably just hadn't removed it from the build of straight shot they were on. I wouldn't read much into it

You definitely didn't pause to read did you? Phase technology is canon to the universe and multiple people use it but Phasing into other dimension, different versions of the world, is wraith exclusive.
