Fun fact: Painty makes a cameo in Wet Painters, when Mr. Krabs is going through paintings that are covering up his paint-covered first dollar.

I remember i was scared shitless at that Truth or Square episode where they showed all the alternative theme songs for the cast with different versions of the pirate

I'm surprised there wasn't a mention of "Spongebob Appreciation Day" in which Painty makes an appearance and is called by his name.

He’s the pirate guy from the second movie.
Painty came BEFORE the pirate in the second movie.
The second movie might have been a prequel, cause in the first Spongebob movie Spongebob and Patrick don’t really give a crap about David Hasselhoff even though he’s human (1000 IQ moment) but in the second movie it’s like they’re seeing humans for the first time

coolman 1 A prequel is a movie that comes out after another movie but the events take place before the first move. If the events take place after the first movie it is a sequel. It’s not confirmed Sponge out of Water is a prequel I was just speculating

@@frataltay4543 I didn't count that because it played the normal intro in reruns. A similar thing happened with the episode "Kenny the Cat". when it premiered, the intro was a live performance of the theme song from the Kid's Choice Awards, but, in reruns, the intro was normal.

I used to always think Clancy Brown was the voice of Painty the Pirate (Since both Mr Krabs and Painty both sound alike). It wasn't until years later that I found out it was Patrick Pinney from Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures and Fraggle Rock: The Animated Series.
I thought it was the voice of Mr. Krabbs that does Painty. It sounds like him.

Painty needs to have his own show.
Maybe Painty was the founder of Bikini bottom, & he was trapped by some kind of magic (maybe from the Flying Dutchman?) while trying to defend it.
(Also, that image of him coming out of the painting to pull the audience into Bikini Bottom is going to give me nightmares. 😬)

Wasn't there a few live action episodes starring the pirate? I remember the pirate hosting a party (that had a mermaid in an inflatable pool), finding a map, and stumbling upon a tree of forks. Or was that a different person?
There's also that clip of the pirate being chased by a robot that's been floating around in depicted-by-Spongebob videos.

I did Like dude seriously I first saw spongebob when I was 3 u know how it happened? Like. My older brothers were watching spongebob but then I watched it with them and also I saw painty the pirate and I screamed like so loud and ran crying to my parents but it’s not really that scary anymore

Aside from the intro, he appeared in Your Shoe's Untied. In the horrible Truth or Square, he was replaced by a creepy animatronic.

I may have a theory.. so, i coudent comply that people thinks painty and patchy are the same person but.. this is not true. because think about it.. patchy cannot get to meet spongbob and the real spongbob community said that patchy cannot meet spongbob. But painty met spongbob on an episode called "Your Shoe is untied".
