- The long wait is over! The ultimate version of the redesigned #ToyotaTacoma has arrived in the form of this electrified #TacomaTRDPro. The #TRDPRO nameplate has been around for about a decade, and this new version from #Toyota really takes things to the next level in terms of technology, power, capability, and design. Just be prepared to pay a pretty penny for one as they head to dealership next month.

The only people paying these prices are the same ones who never take them off road.
Rise of the brocoma 😂
We do
And, your point? 😅
Lies
$65,000 + $5,000 to $15,000 dealer markups = unaffordable.
Already unaffordable 🤪
That’s insane
Unaffordable for you and I. Somehow they will still end up selling a bunch of them. I said the same thing when i saw the Tundra pricing, now there is one at every red light where I live. Some one is buying them. Somehow.
@@chandlerbraaten847it is crazy. So many brand new expensive trucks all over the place. More power to them! I’ve never financed more than $40,000 and I never will.
Lexus GX550 overland for 5gs more lol.
66K is just the beginning. Expect dealer markups another 5k-10k or more. That would bring it up to 76K plus tax/title/doc fee. Total cost out the door $80K. WTF!!!!
Just get the Raptor $57k and faster on Baja trails
Actually, I can confirm $5995 markup
Forget dealer markups, just the ridiculous MSRP is already an immediate deal breaker for me. Toyota has gotten too damn greedy.
That’s insane for a Toyota and a truck.
Yeah I built one online and it came in at $70+
What the hell is going on with car prices? It’s getting out of hand, I really like this Tacoma but can’t really justify that price.
Americans voted for ultra high inflation.
@@ryanb8736 It’s crazy, it becomes ridiculous at some point.
While $65,000 is a lot, dont buy the $65,000 trim. SR5 trim starts at $36,000 people need to start living within their means.
@@DeadAir21 That’s true, unfortunately we sometimes think we should buy goods that are out of our reach, maybe because of social pressure.
*Basic American inflation. There had never NOT been inflation in America*
I’m glad you’re always a good sport when Roman walks in, I like the random cameo 😅👍🥳
Roman annoys the p*ss out of me
$80,000 here in Canada. I would love to see car journalists focus on the increasing car costs and the justifications. Most tech was done years and years ago.
Corner these manufacturers and hold them accountable, I’m sure even a Toyota employee can’t even afford to purchase a Toyota product now unless it’s a base model Carolla or Camary.
$80k for a Tacoma?!?!?!?!?!?! no matter the market, that is I N S A N E.
but to your point, most of these car journos don’t care. i’ve only seen Untamed Motors really hone in on the topic and TFL does sometimes, but everyone else doesn’t say much because they want to continue getting their invites to events. but if all of them band together and corner the manufacturers, Toyota and others can’t ban all of the journos.
Funny thing is with the interest rates being so high vehicles should be getting cheaper. Sad part is I still want the 24 trd pro but in Canada my order probably isn't coming. Picked the wrong color ( underground grey ). Really hope it comes by the end of the year and interest rates drop. Keep in mind this is the best tacoma trd pro version to ever release. It's way more of a jump in tech and add-ons vs the older trd pros. Your paying a premium for a truck that can jump and baja off the lot than drive on the road normal. 81k cad for a zr2 bison and ranger raptor if you can get msrp. Compare older trd pros with te 24 trd pro not even close in comparison. Trucks probably not affordable but it seems worth it for what you get and the capabilities of the truck. Def a premium though because it's a top model. Fun fact in Canada the trailhunter 6ft box is 87k cad lol glad I didn't order that.
TFL x Redline collab would be so good.
Just wanna say been watching you for years. Told my sister to watch your video on the car she was looking to buy. Found it very helpful. Keep up the great work!
Agreed, Redline has awesome vehicle reviews👍🏿…
He’s a sellout
Finally!!! Been waiting for this to come out and for this review!! 🎉
$90,000 markup in California 😄😄😄😄😄
I'd rather buy a Tacoma SR5 4X4 and get a lift and 33 Inch tires that's good enough for me, $65,000 plus dealer adjustment = $72,000 before taxes, no way Jose.
wtf!? Thats insane. Ill just add that to the list of reasons of why I moved to the south a few years ago lol
As always, great review!
If people keeps buying with the prices being high, plus the dealer markup prices will keep going up…
People need to stop buying for a year. The prices start going down and give a lot of rebates again. ..
So people , stop buying!!!
So car prices can go down ….
Next thing you know will be $100,000 for an average car price. An average car price used to be in the 20s. ..
That Tacoma does looks very sharp !!!
Yeah like that's gonna happen 🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡
Great review!
Good to see you interact with other collaborators. The difference in from one to the other is huge even all look great
Can't wait to see this pop up on social media from those short videos about people with insane debt and car payments
"What do you drive, and how much is your car payment"
- "I drive a 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro and pay $1995 a month"
Sometimes you just gotta accept the fact that there’s people out there that actually has money. I always asked myself why are people paying over msrp? And i just accepted what I just said.
Dave ramsey shorts. 😂
Depends how much you give down
People who buy this truck already have Pros to trade in
@@joepierson3859exactly. I wouldn’t buy this if I didn’t have at least $25,000 in trade in equity! Cause I’m not financing anything over $40,000 😂
I like how you just roll with the flow when Roman came in.
Nothing about this vehicle is worth 20k more than the TFL Tacoma. These prices are ridiculous.
I honestly think the Ranger Raptor is the better deal here but the TRD Pro looks soooo much better! Not a fan of those iso-dynamic seats or that plastic composite box. Seats take away too much precious cargo space and I think that plastic box liner will make a lot of noise after a few years . Plastic also gets brittle over time with the sun beating down on it…. add in frigid winter temps and I think it’ll be busting or cracking up the first time you throw a chunk of 4x4 back there.
Honda has offered a composite bed in the Ridgeline in US and Canada for many years. Have there been reports of cracking in cold weather?
@@joeimbesi5361 no idea. I don’t like the Honda Ridgeline so I’ve never looked into them.
I never thought I would see the day were there would be a 3k difference between the Tacoma and tundra with recent markups. Just insane
The pricing is a massive misstep by Toyota.
Not when y’all keep telling them there is no price cap for presumable reliability in new products with no luxury and barely any up-to-date technology. Throwing in a portable speaker i guess is cool.
The Ranger Raptor starting at $55k is looking real nice now 😅
Legit thinking the same thing! 😆
ZR2 around 50k 😎
Would be cheaper even after dealer markup 😂
@@R32vdubbno V6 and suspension ain't as good. But better than TRD of for sure
Not actually. I live in Vegas and was quoted $80k for the ranger raptor. Don’t believe me call a ford dealership and ask. Total price out the door.
Toyota better hire more repo companies when these drive off the lot 😂
Crazy stupid expensive $66,000.00
I remember the full package 3rd gen Pros were going for that much off the lot much even pre-2020. At least you get some real power now. The V6 was pathetic.
Thank Americans for voting for high inflation.
2024 Ford F-150 $115,000 dollars check it out on line, GMC Denali $98,000 dollars.
@@eddieBoxerranger raptor $58k
@@ryanb8736 Inflation is a global problem since COVID, and US inflation is far below the rest of the worlds since 2020. I voted for stability, and I got it.
Hi I’m Kalani!!!! I literally love this truck and your videos I’m so excited so see this omg 😱
Great review
At $65k before markups, dealers will definitely be keeping some of these on the lot!
That's a beast of truck.
You can buy a very well equipped full size 2024 GMC Sierra SLT crew cab with 4 wheel drive and a V8 for $56,395! 😂
Many someone wants what they want and not what you want🤔
Always great content. One question….when is Toyota going to start selling the Tacoma TRD Pro?
Nice truck. Good to see Toyota put all the toys into it for that price.
LOL@MSRP Almost $75,000+(OTD) for a Taco. Who would have thunk! LOL
"Wow, you pay that much for your mortgage?"
"Hah! you should check out my car payment!"
Mortgage payment? Come on stop it drama queen...
@@atg1338Being a drama queen sounds pretty good compared to an idiot who will be in debt with a $60+ car loan(plus high interest) for a MIDSIZE truck.
@@mongoosevsgt oh lil drama boy you sound like the idiot. Maybe someone has a business and can write it off... maybe someone has a great trade in a d the payment isn't high... just because you can't afford one doesn't mean the next guy's an idiot.....
After taxes I'd be paying mid 70s K. For a small pickup truck.
That's just mind numbing
A mountain goat! That’s what I need lol
I love it!
85k Canadian plus taxes = over $100k for a Toyota here 😂
70k Tacoma!! Crazy
Comes with a turbocharged typewriter for an engine too. Isn't that awesome?
Good video Ranger Raptor for the win, easy choice
That's the price of a entry level Raptor few years back
Just got mine yesterday
THIS TRUCK!!!!
So funny how Roman just walks in haha
He is an ass. Always trying to dominate
Its a good thing we are such good friends with Roman and the rest of the TFL team! 😊
Hey Toyota shame on you for not giving it rear vents! Not even in the top trims. $70K and you get nothing, what a joke!
Is there a button to keep the engine all the time or does it shut off at traffic lights? This could be a problem off road and rock climbing.
You won't need it. It's seamless transition between ice and ev mode. The electric motors do the work when the engine is off. I have a RAV4 xse hybrid and it's so smooth.
Start stop on a 4 banger 😂
I bought my 2021 Tundra Limited Crew Cab w the OR package, step rails & bed liner for 46.5K brand new OTD. These new prices are absurd
Blah blah blah... that truck is basically a 2008 ...
NO WAY IN HELL would a sane person pay that MSRP let alone a dealer markup on top of that. I'm sure some people with more money than brains will justify it just to own one. However, the average American has been left behind on this guy.
Priced themselves right out of the midsized game..damn toyota
If I’m going to spend 70k on a truck it better damn well be a full size truck. Not paying that much for 6.9 0-60 and no rear seat room.
Here for the early Upload 😮
Looks nice, but when you consider the price tag, low 20s mpg on premium and from a complex powertrain, where the truck is assembled in Mexico, I’ll pass.
$65 + dealer markup, no power folding mirrors, no pano sunroof, no electric steering adjustment. But, big screen/HD camera views and ventilated seats are a plus
35:10 Payload at 1700? Where? According to the Toyota owner's manual it's only 1245lbs. So how do they come up with 1700?
Those seats are amazing. Thats awesome they included those for that price.
$65K before mark-ups, oof. Better off paying the extra for a full size V8 truck at this point
FINALLY!
Why would anyone in their right mind pay $64k plus for a PRO or Trailhunter if you can now find Ranger Raptors under MSRP?
All truck manufacturers are nuts, but Toyota went over the top.
2024 Ranger raptor out the door is $80k.
@@GarrettArakaki-ch3vp try Autonation
How is it that my old W204 from 2008 has BETTER quality looking/material interior than a 2024 $70k+ vehicle?
Sweet truck, but $65k is outrageous for a mid-size, even as equipped. Needs to come down $10k in price.
Is there San Diego?
On the hybrid it's a 20amp 2400 watt 120v plug in the box and the cab. Every other video I've seen on this truck advertises 120v 2400watt 20amp plugs in box and rear of the cab. I'm confused now. Must be a pre production mistake
65k plus markup for sure,
I have it but they ain't getting it! Absolute robbery!!!
Looking at 80K
@@andersonrodriguez8258you’re not lying. it’s sad that in the not so distant past, $80k was what they charged for a full size Land Cruiser
My 2017 Tundra TRD Pro Off Road may not get more than about 17.3 mpg, but I'll more than make up for the cost in savings over the $60k+ cost of that thing and have a V8 and 6' bed to do whatever I need to, aside from parking in small spaces, of course.
$65K? Quick and clear no way! Plain and simple. Not even close.
That is probably before any dealership mark ups.
$90,000 with markup 😄😄😄
People think trucks are gonna stay the same price for 20 years lol. You were never going to buy it anyways. It's competitors are the same price. Zr2 bison and ranger raptor with a similar add ons are right on up there. Keep in mind that this probably got all the bells and whistles added. I'm guessing it starts at 60k. Which is identical to the bison and about 5k more than the raptor
@@MB-jz3uu Why are you being a white knight for an auto manufacturer that will never care about your existence? The prices of these new trucks are about as absurd as those who try to defend high prices and dealer markups.
@@MB-jz3uu you are right my friend. People These are complaining it's their main sustenance
Well I think those seats are cool in concept I think they just made my decision to get the 4Runner.
Until the price comes out. SUVs tend to be more expensive than trucks
I always used to hate facial front shspe..now they raised the front hood.now it looks like a robotic 🤖 killer design 😂.
For that price, I could get a lexus lol
Please review the Top trim.
My dream is still to get a trd pro since I was 16. Going to try my hardest to get one
It's a good dream
Get the 2015 TRD Pro, with a supercharger. Better than going into debt for these bloated features.
@@scottvaj4434 it's 10 years old bruv
driver grab handles?
Was contemplating trading my 19 in, but it's about 40% more w/o a V6. I just can't see spending that much more, or just THAT much for a midsize.
Dear Sofyan, You are the best channel I watch and review cars. The only problem is that you talk too fast.
$65k ❌🤯😱b4 markups ?!?!?! The ridiculous unrealistic prices continue on, WOW
KEEPING MY 3rd GEN OR 🧐
I need those seats!! Also does my Stanley fit in those cup holders? JK yall
Finally the wait for pricing release is over and it’s what we all thought. Stoked to get mine will be posting soon! Let’s go Toyota. Thankfully I have a dealer at MSRP no mark ups or dealer ad ons. Called him just now. They’re all stoked he said he’ll definitely get me one!
It’s a good looking and well rounded truck, but 65k! 😢
Make sure to correct the miss info on the power in the box at 6:17 all the hybrid model trucks have 120v 2400watt 20amp plugs in the box and rear of the cab. The non hybrids have the 400watt plugs.
They only run with the truck is turned on though.
Look at the cabin power cover at 15:18 it's 2400w same for the box. Also that back seat space is bad lol dec have go upgrade to a tundra after 10 years probably
Toyota really step up they game. I really love the TRD spec because of more hardcore and buff ish look it's have 💪
Looks great, but the price is laughable. Why get a mid-size truck for the price of a full-size 😂
@@maxmuratore4578Maybe people don’t need a full size or have the space for one. People want what they want.
@joeimbesi5361 and that is why car dealerships keep marking up vehicles
Less hardcore than the Raptor and $10k more 😂
Toyota is as high as their pricing is. What are they thinking? I didn’t pay that much money for my full-sized F-150 Platinum.
Toyota isn’t worried. They know there is an endless supply of financially dull people who will bend over backwards debtwise to get this version Tacoma.
Of course, gotta look rich, only cost two kidneys 😂😂
At that cost, there are only so many people who can get financing. They've put it out of range of the people who have zero financial wherewithal but can still get a loan.
Arwe these made in Texas? I thought the Tacomas were exclusively MIM but that license plate giving mixed signals.
Mexico unfortunately.
Those seats should be an added option. Those and the price are a deal breaker. I was set to place my order until I saw those two things. My kids won’t even fit back there. I hope they fix that down the road.
I got one of the last 2023 TRD Pro's.. and think it's a great buy. Its features are a proven ALL GAS V6 engine, bullet proof automatic (remapped to solve the gear hunting issue), a 1700+ weight savings over the 2024 model, and is the result of nearly 8 years of refinement and perfection.. vs. a brand new everything that will need 8 years of refinement. On top of all that it appears I received a $20,000 (plus whatever dealer markup the dealers are putting on a 2024) savings. That equates to $2000 less sales tax than a 2024 would have took from my pocket. I could go on, but I ask you.. all this "journalists" get in the door for these advance events because they're doing what?
@ 10:17 make sure you dont shake dudes hand in back ground there. Looks like he had a "itch" per say😂
Beautiful looking truck wish it was 15k less
It's really nice, but I think the Ranger Raptor is a better buy for less money.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
The shock absorber system should’ve been added to the Thunder.c
Those fancy seats are sweet!! You were hardly bouncing around at all, amazing !! They include those for $65k?
Yes! They are exclusive to the TRD Pro trim and included at that price.
And you can bet they will lose tons of sales because of those impractical and gimmicky seats.
Cheaper to tune seats than an entire truck like the raptor 😂
Is ventilated seats and a sunroof really that big of a difference when comparing to the ranger raptor? Let’s be honest, nobody cares about the isodynamic seats.. For the cost difference, I’ll personally go without the ventilated seats and moon roof.
Not to mention you get 2 extra cylinders, front locker and 150lb more payload. Made in USA vs Hecho en Mexico
The rear windshield is so big; I wonder why Toyota didn’t offer the same power folding feature as the Tundra.
Than it would be a $70k taco 😂
Too much money def not worth it for a mid size pickup, and Tacoma needs to add the full rear window like in the 4 runner and new Tundra
hood scoop is so GHEY!
And with those seats, why didn’t they make the extra cab longer? Nobody can fit in those seats you might as well have a access cab.
I love this truck but the price is chaotic. It should have a pano roof. Not partial full glass with sunroof. Folding mirrors. Running board. Paddle shifting. It’s missing a lot of things. Some will off-road with it but most won’t
If Toyota adds those extra features. I would definitely Be interested in getting one. Not that my small opinion matters.
No power side mirrors and 65k?
This price is absolutely criminal, maybe more criminal then the price of a civic type r
I need this car to run over my 2016 civic with nonstop AC problems.
