My favorite part is how Dom's white shirts never get dirty or wrinkled. Car is tumbling down a cliff, Dom gets out shirt is still crisp from the cleaners.
He does have blood on his shirt in the first movie, but that was when the franchise was kind of normal lol.

It came out on my dad’s birthday so my family went to watch. By the end he said he hated it cause they kept doing the flashbacks and I keep telling him “Pa they have to do them because they’ve had beef for the past 2-3 decades it wouldn’t make sense if they didn’t explain anything.” Idk I loved it maybe cause it was the first movie I saw in theaters since COVID started.

I'll watch every movie but I personally think it should've ended at 5🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️. Everything after that was EXTRAS.. Extra cast mates, extra cgi, extra stunts and it kind of lost some of it's feeling to me. Sadly I'm too curious to know how it ends to stop watching 😔😔

@@nms7872 Yes. I'll comfortably say he was 17 about to be 18 in Tokyo Drift, and that movie got retconned into being 2015 for F7. Since F9 takes place in 2020 or 2021, Sean should be 24 at the latest.

Just saw this movie today. Honestly felt like watching a super hero at times, with the only thing remind me they weren’t was the carelessly putting ppl in danger/ killing them. Like how many ppl died while they magnetized the cars to stop that huge truck?
However, a Pontiac fiero owner attaching a rocket to their car is believable. Pontiac fiero owners are crazy like that.

In Let Me Explain's commentary on Hobbes and Shaw, he mentioned how Dwayne and Diesel had diverging ideas of how the series was going to proceed, with Dwayne leaning more toward the fantastic, flambuoyant, and logic-leaping while Diesel wanted to focus on the drama and the acting. This movie, which had Diesel in it, seems to go by Dwayne's vision, so what gives?
Yes, this series has gone so far over the top it might as well have the Marvel logo... but what saves it is we know that ahead of time. We know it's going to be big, loud, insane.. and make zero logical sense at all. So we turn our brains off at the door and just enjoy.
I think the audience reception indicates they went a little too far with the silliness on this one. I don’t think this one was embraced as much as the silliness of 6 or 7.
I kind of would like them to do this Jacob buys the race track and give it to dom as a sign of peace and the fast10 begins with a race in dom father's car and end with dom vs jacob again on the tracks.

Ok i love this series and after reading the story in mens health and seeing this I can say its not over , and I hope Vin continues to create, and do what hasnt been done in the future, but he us all about family and I hope he brings the kids into the future of the family business and we see more cars and action for years to come! Fast Series Gen 2 ! Continue to thrill us into the Future! Cant wait to see Daddy Vin build a car and race it with his Son!

They've basically turned Fast and Furious into Marvel movies at this point. Trying to ascribe any logic to them at this point would be a waste of time amd energy. What with all the insane retconning, "lost" characters that ultimately make no sense in the story, straight up bringing people back that are obviously dead beyond the shadow of a doubt, the complete and total lack of automotive realism. The thing about the original movies, especially the first one, is that they weren't like other standard action movie fare. Yes there was still plenty of suspension of disbelief and crazy things happening with cars that weren't exactly "realistic". But the thing that made them enjoyable was that they still "felt" real, or at least a lot closer to the reality of the tuning scene at the time. One of few movies that actually made people look at car culture from a different angle and actually made people want to jump in to that scene themselves. With the newer movies, they've just become ridiculous hollywood, big budget crap. Are they still entertaining movies? Yes, in some ways. I'm sure plenty of people enjoy them. But I can pretty much guarantee that there are little to no young people watching the current crop of FF movies and thinking "Hey I bet I could do that". Kinda sad
I agree with most of what you have said here. That said, i feel like Marvel is a bad comparison. Yes those movies have high action, big VFX and 'unrealistic' alien stuff. But they feel grounded in a weird way. There are almost always stakes to the characters actions. The reason F9 fails (IMO, but im sure many would agree) is because there are no stakes. Dom feels and IS invincible, just like the rest of the characters. The action has gone from technecally plausable to literally impossible. Dom literally takes out highly trained soldiers like they are made of playdouh.
The silliest part is that the film recognizes that it has no stakes and thinks it would be fun to roll with it. They LITERALLY say they are invincible lmao.
I think Vince is the only character who actually ever died.......oh yeah, Jessie too......😂😂😂😂😂😂

I had a good time watching because 1 I saw it in a 4dx movie theater where the chairs rotate and vibrate, water spits out at you, lights flash, it was really cool. and 2 I didn't take the movie serious, me and my mom kept being like ok?! When dumb stuff like going to space or perfect landing an armored truck spining down a hill on fire. But even the movie dosent take itself seriously, there's a whole bit about how they are always fine after missions
