I love this move so much for Melee enemies. They charge in for an attack and you can knock them down and get a free hit or 2 whoch really makes a big difference.

That was already in Fallout 3, along with a kick attack that could be used against "waist-high" enemies, IE dogs, Mole Rats, or people getting up.

In my neo cowboy playthrough I used guns, unarmed and survival. Over time I learned every unarmed move and ranger takedown was hilarious
I'm specially fond of doing this in 1st person with a Displacer Glove, makes it look like a repulsor blast.

I used to combine this with the power fist and you can kick peoples legs out from under them

In combat it only works when the enemy is running closer to you, that's why it's unreliable.

I had problem with it until I've noticed you don't have to turn around at all (it is a frontal attack like all others)

once you get this move and can survive 1 hit from a deathclaw you can duel them naked
because of this one move, its a reason why the saturnite powerfist is far better because it speeds up the animation.
