- Goodsprings is one of the most infamous starting zones in any fallout game, it has a small variety of quests, a few residents and even some small tutorials... and today I achieve to answer the question - Can you hit level 50 without leaving Goodsprings?
This might be a waste of time.

Okay I haven’t watched the video. Here’s my theory on how you’re gonna do it. You’re going to do the radscorpion glitch at the good springs graveyard. I will edit this comment to say whether I was right or wrong after I watch the video. Edit: okay so it was the Chet glitch. So I was wrong. But I have to ask does anyone remember the radscorpian glitch where you kill the radscorpian up at the graveyard which you attract to the graveyard by firing your gun off into the distance. And then once you kill it you just spam open its inventory which every time you open and close it. It gives Xp.
The Witcher 3 actually doesn't increase the xp per level, it decreases the xp you get for stuff instead.
I liked the part where instead of finishing the videos you tested how long will it take to hit max level.
Next video: Can you hit level 50 without leaving good springs but on hardcore mode.
Fun fact: If you do this glitch then rebuild your character as you leave goodsprings you get to reassign new perks and keep your previously earned perks. Giving you X2 amount of perks.

This is excluding the level 2 and 4 perks you get while building your character in good springs (your level 2 and 4 perks gotten while rebuilding your character are kept). However, you will be unable to retake educated or comprehension if you took them while in good springs, so do not take either of them until the rebuilding phase.
There's also a list online of all the perks you'll keep as not all carry over.
Not all perks work for this, some do properly reset. The fact that only some perks reset like this is a hilarious indicator of just how sloppy and hard coded so many things in Fallout 3/NV were.
I love FONV. So many ways to get overpowered in the West.

@@Raphie009 I always take skilled twice at the start and I haven't really noticed it that much. Leveling slower makes it more of a reward to work towards imo
@@Raphie009 there so much content in the game that even with “skilled” trait you would hit level cap long before finishing the game. And you can almost neglect it by taking swift learner. So skilled is actually pretty good choice for a trait in my book. But taking it for this challenge was freaking stupid lol.
As a boy who grew up in goodsprings (easy pete is my dad) I can with certainty say that you can not hit max level in goodsprings UNLESS you use a specific trick that was outlawed by the Nevada government in 1989 following a great disaster causing a major water shortage. Boy was that drought the worst in ages, my dog almost died during that one.

@@gregbalisong4203 okay so there's this glitch that you can do where you literally don't even need to leave in order to hit max level. It's actually cool because you can take non optimal perks and change them around once you leave. Like replacing the swift leaner and hard lesson perks. It's a boring grind tho because it's a low level speech check loop.

The courier never leaves goodsprings, deciding to stay and defend it and help it prosper rather than hunt down Benny. Without the interference of the courier Benny goes through with his plan and takes over the strip, eventually forcing the NCR and Legion out of the Mojave. Realizing that the courier no longer works for the Mojave express, Ulysses makes his plans to kill the courier, although in the end he is too slow for the courier with the big iron on his hip.
Wrong. The courier eventually amassed enough leather armor from Chet to launch across the map and kill Benny, Caesar, and Kimball with pinpoint accurate Bethesda physics.
As a show of gratitude, Mr. House decides to mail the 1000 cap delivery payment for the platinum chip to goodsprings.
Nah Ulysses wouldn't kill the courier, as he says plenty of times in lonesome road, he believes in Ceasar's words about : "kill no courier" but besides that i think the rest kinda makes sense

You can actually kill the radscorpions in the gulch to the east of goodsprings cemetary without leaving the world boundary. I do it pretty much every playthrough since each radscorpion is worth a pretty decent amount of XP for the early game.
Underrated comment. I make a beeline to the golf club and the giant radscorpions everytime 👍

Doing the xp glitch on console takes twice the amount of time. It’s brutal.
It takes long but it's worth it
It took me so long I put the game down after I got my perfect char started, Ive got a file waiting to go explore the whole game at my own pace all decked out.
Yeah, I probably ruined my playthrough but I can always go back and play it legitimately
Yeah i did it a while ago to make weapon specific builds definitely not worth it
You only have to do it once and make game saves at benchmark levels. I have saved 10, 20, 25, 30, 40, and 50th-level characters. They are all before leaving Goodsprings, so can redesign them for whatever build and level I want.
Takes me literal days but my god its worth it. I get free ammo for every gun and unlimited caps
On most of my playthroughs I always stayed a few in-game weeks in Goodsprings. I just liked the idea of my character taking his time to recover from getting shot in the head before heading out into the wilds.
That is some next level roleplaying. Lol

You can make this glitch 10x more broken by pressing the rebuild character option at the tutorial boundary. You’ll be able to have almost double the amount of perks over the limit as long as you pick different perks than ones you already had. There’s literally a entry in the fallout wiki taking about this I recommend checking it out as it explains it a lot better than I can.( it also tells you which perks bug out) hope that was useful info I love FNV alot I have over 1500 hours in it anyways cheers 😎

Huh, I already do this to effectively take Good Natured and Skilled twice, but I didn’t know it also applied to skills and not just traits.
Skilled was a massive hindrance here, -10% to XP gains makes 11% more work to hit max level
It’s 10% more work, not 11%. You need to do 10% more work to beat the game.
If you need to make 100 XP, and you make 1XP a second. If I take 10% of your XP you’ll need to make 110XP points, which is 10% more than 100XP.

Skilled brings your XP gain to 90% efficiency. At normal efficiency it takes 100% to reach max level. At 90% efficiency it takes 111% of the time, because to bring 90% up to 100% means an 11% increase.
If you make 10 every minute normally and need 100, it takes ten minutes.
If you make 9 every minute normally, eleven minutes- 110% of the previous- puts you at 99. You need approximately an extra six seconds- 1%, bringing it up to 111%- to get it to 100.

You can shoot the rad scorpions for between 50 (big) and 10 (small) xp from Goodsprings Cemetery, but you are right on the border. You can go just down the hill to spawn the scorpions in the valleys and shoot them, but you are right near the line. You can also pick off some coyotes from the cemetery near the memorial for a couple xp each. I think they respawn after 3 days so rinse and repeat.
The coyotes in the cave are replaced by radscorpions.
I love that you changed Goodsprings Cave to just "cave" and I say we get the wiki to change it officially for accuracy. Lowercase too, for accuracy.

Jesus, I'm so close to the fallout games, and every once in awhile I watcha video on them and I start to realize how old the games are, and it starts to hit me just how much things have moved forward. Time flies

Theoretically you could spam crafting items by purchasing stuff like scrap metal and shell casings from the general store and then sell the stuff you make before resetting the shop inventory. Im not sure if you would make enough profit to loop it long enough to get to level 50. But if so, it would be possible, if slow.
you could probably pickpocket caps off people to get extra money (no idea if they refresh if you wait)

You know you can attract respawning enemies into Good Springs by shooting at them.
You can shoot the giant Radscorpionss from Good Springs Graveyard, get it to chase you into the yellow zone, kill it and wait 3 days it will resurrect.
Sometimes you don't even have to shoot at them. I had a giant radscorpion just wander into goodsprings without my consent in one of my playthroughs. It kept respawning in goodsprings so I had to kill it every time I went back. It was annoying.
Opens his inventory to 347 sets of leather armor and 10,401 9mm bullets.
You could have done a cheeky trick by picking Logan's Loophole as one of your traits. It lowers your level cap to 30, so technically you could have completed the challenge by only getting to level 30 instead of 50 because 30 is your new max level and you physically cannot go any higher than it. It would save you gaining 20 more levels. Also, great video :).
You forgot about talking to Victor before the fight starts, asking him to join, and then talking to him afterwards.

There's one other way I can think of to gain max level while remaining in Goodsprings, and it's not even a glitch.
There's a recurring challenge granting you 50xp for using 100 stimpaks. You can craft stimpaks with Xander Roots and Broc Flowers, both of which can be found in Goodsprings. It takes 72 in-game hours spent in another cell (say, the bar) for those plants to respawn.
So you can technically create infinite stimpaks and use them to gain ultimate power. Technically.
Now that's a stream I'd like to see :)

You can rebuild your character twice in this game, so technically 3x perks. Reset stats before leaving good springs then get old world blues. The autodoc let’s you reset your stats and you keep most perks.

Here is the stream for the current mean-time. I do have a VOD channel, and it will be up on their soon, just takes time - also the only creatures that respawn are the radscorpions outside the town, but you quickly run out of ammo killing them legit. I tried.

Me hitting up Chet in elite riot gear and a fat man on a regular basis with an ungodly amount of garbage to sell:
Fun fact there are a handful of perks that remain stuck on your character if you choose to rebuild upon leaving goodsprings which means you can have nearly double the amount of perks.
If its within "Goodsprings" head up to the cemetery & on the right side (outside the fence), there's a large rock that makes a good perch with a excellent view of the rad-scorp pits. The larger scorps grant you 50 xp per kill. Sleep a few days then do it over again.
In FNV you start out fragile like a wet paper bag. In every playthrough I never leave Goodsprings until I'm at least a lvl 12. *that dumpster, the mojave express mailbox, and a store* that close together, is reason enough to come back again... might as well farm some more xp from the scorps.

when you speedrun All Achievements, you pretty much HAVE to know how to play caravan
Before you do the glitch, make sure you know the list of perks you get to keep after you leave and edit your perks again. Markers Every stay with you after the re-edit, so you can pick another perk.
Hey Jabo I know this video is over a year old but I just wanted to say I recognized the background music at 4:23 as the menu screen music for Beetle Adventure Racing on the N64, I was like 6 and I played that with my Dad all of the time. Thanks for bringing me back with that memory, I can't believe I recognized the music.

Couldn't you continuously breakdown and rebuild ammo for crafting xp and challenges? You'll go negative on certain parts but you can always buy more from Chet. And you can steal as much stuff as possible from the town to afford more ammo. Might get you a decent chunk of Xp. Probably not enough for level 50 but it's something.
no, there is a limit to the challenges you can complete for crafting, its not recurring.

After that go to chet and demand resources .
Do that and later sneak kill Joe and return to chet .
Now enjoy your time Spamming the same Dialoge till you hit lvl 50
(Info: you better watch out what perks don't carry over when you leave goodsprings to avoid the extra perks being lost so better plan ahead)
