The Abilene kid BB gun is actually really good, not only is it "silenced"(edit:quotes added specifically because of you, g-forces, no one else) but it also does like an unmodified crit damage of 30(edit:btw im wrong on that) which is really good for stealth

something I found out is that the tiny deathclaw doesn't like the platform fountain thing in the center of town if you run up into the fountain he'll slowly retreat and you can pump a bunch of damage into him step off to make him get close again then repeat till the gremlins reference is deader than a monster in a microwave
@@gaydes1012 I think it's a reference to gremlins. one of them appareantly died close to a fountain which is why this tiny deathclaw usually retreats from that fountain.
But Gizmo avoided water because it hurt him to multiply. The other ones went to water to multiply after they had turned evil from eating after midnight.
One thing I’ve recently wondered is how far you can get through Fallout 4 using negative dialogue options (those assigned to the rightmost face button in the dialogue interface) after I found out there’s no way to refuse the vault-tec rep at the beginning. I imagine there would be some point at in the game that would stop you no matter what faction you manage to join, but you must be able to get decently far.

Man, my first thought after realizing there's no renewable ammo you can get from Wild Wasteland was that you were going to take the switchblades from Maude's Muggers. I'm an idiot.
As a note, Maudes Muggers have somewhat randomized inventories I found out, the hard way. Imagine my surprise when I left the robotics plant and got suicide mini nuked by a bunch of old ladies the first playthrough. I was VERY confused.
alright but can you rig the game from the start and beat fallout new vegas as Benny? Note: Benny has less SPECIAL stats than the player so put your remaining points in luck. It just seems fitting. must get ''the talk about owned'' achievement from the gun runners arsenal because it's appropriate. you are allowed to use a machete until you can pickpocker maria from Benny since Benny uses one if you chose to fight him in the legion arena meaning he is canonically willing to use it if he has no other options.
How is Benny lucky if the guy he shot in the head comes back and kills him or if he gets taken by Caesar? Or if he shot a woman she comes back fucks him and kills him.
CHR is a better choice IMO since that's Benny's schtick, and it's also not very useful in-game. Plus I mean, Benny shot a guy in the head at point-blank range and he came back to life to kick his ass. How lucky can he be?

I did a similar playthrough but I did it on Xbox so I only used Chairmen weapons, wore a suit the whole time, and the skills were Speech, Barter, and Sneak since I believe Benny's skills in the base game are more suited to be more of a fight

If I could suggest a challenge, try to beat FONV as “the lone wanderer.” AKA you can only wear vault suits (including variants and armored ones), can only use hunting rifles, 10mm pistols, and baseball bats (along with similar iconic Fallout 3 weapons that you would imagine the wanderer using). Maybe also make it a requirement to recruit Rex? Bonus points if you do it with the tale of two wastelands mod.
I second this. I play through NV alot as my Lone Wanderer. Side note @nerbit, if you want some mods that'd help the experience without having to fully tale of two wastelands it, I'd like to recommend "Wanderer, Courier, Soldier, Spy". It's a dialog mod that changes a few ingame prompts to reflect your background as being the Lone Wanderer, such as acknowledging your previous knowledge of FEV, being familiar with the brotherhood of steel, among other things.
Biggest downside to the Abilene BB gun is that wild wasteland makes it harder to get needing Rex. Otherwise it’s just in the shake on a shelf instead. Though if you do change your traits to have wild wasteland then to not or visa versa via the big mt, you can get two of them

I fucking LOVE that part about it. There's also a magazine in Hubris Comics that boosts the blaster's damage by the exact amount the fusion-cell mod lowers it by, returning it to normal.

Basically a can you beat situation is just a game with a very large set of restrictions on what you can or can not do, by combining them, it's just a run with less restrictions, and kinda defeats the idea

@@lewiswheat8544 go to a reloading bench with a high enough repair and/or relevant perks, you can make way more powerful ammo. Handload .357 and Lucky makes the single action revolver viable late game

You could also get one from Nuka-World but that would also be difficult. If you did try this run I would definitely love to see that😁👌

The Legion soldier at 14:40 really had no idea what force he was dealing with. Him getting as far as "ther-" before instant dematerialization befalls him is far funnier to me than it should be

This game is just absolutely wonderful isn’t it? The shelf life of games these days is so short compared to back in the day, the current generation call something outdated after a few months. Fallout New Vegas is way past the contemporary expiry date but it just keeps coming with great content and dedicated fans.

I'd argue that since those three super mutant masters that hang out by The One always spawn near it, I'd say the whatever they drop count as part of the wild wasteland perk too.
You should make a part 2 to this (similar to your Fallout 3 as Abe lincoln series),where you play through old world blues using only Wild wasteland items,as OWB has quite alot of wild wasteland content in it alongside the base game.
This sounds just as hard as my idea for a challenge run: Can you beat New Vegas with only crafted items, my playthrough would be really hard since I don't have the add-ons and it cuts down on the damage weapons I can craft, I would love to see you take on this challenge idea, if you ever get the chance. So, when can we expect seeing "can you beat Fallout 3 as an Alien"? I would say Fallout 4 as well, but i am not sure there is any space clothes in that game.
You can wear the Nuka-Girl Mascot's spacesuit, and the astronaut costumes from one of the amusement park rides. Besides that, only Power Armors and Hazmat Suits really count as "space clothes".
I didn't think you'd be able to do it, I didn't know that the alien blaster was so insanely powerful or that you get so much ammo for it. I thought that you would either have to resort to talking or fist fighting your way through the game. All that was cast aside as soon as I saw the uber gun.
Okay, so I've seen some people talking about a possible Gordon Ramsey one and I've figured out the challenge: 1. Wear Wasteland Doctor uniform (basically chef's whites) and fight only with knives (not too hard since Chopper exists) 2. Tag Survival, Speech, and Melee Weapons 3. Take Terrifying Presence as soon as you can 4. Cook every food recipe in the game (so Hydra doesn't count, but the challenge does include the recipes you have to find/unlock like the Wasteland Omelet or Cook-Cook's Stew)
I'm not sure if you just didn't want to pick up any melee weapons, but you could have gotten 3 rolling pins by entering and exiting the building where you find Fisto for the Atomic Wrangler mission as the 3 old ladies show up to mug you.
I always take the wild wasteland and skilled trades. Skilled is the one that gives you +5 to every stat at the beginning of the game with the cost of a minus 10% experience game wherever earned
You should try a run where you only take ONE singular item from each encounter or kill. Including ammo, so one piece of armor, one stimpack, or one single round of ammo. It would be like an extreme version of survival where you need to make each choice count… so you massacre a town for extra ammo, or collect melee weapons and healing items? Who knows…
Huh, whenever I go to the one it's allways guarded by I think two hostile super mutants one with a mini gun and another with a missile launcher just wondering why they didn't spawn on this run ?
To add on the talk about traits being gone in the beginning of ths video, there is a feature in Fallout 76 of all places where a version of it exists. There are several affects called "mutations" in the game that act like traits, giving a bonus in one area, but a negative in another. The mutations are gotten either randomly when you get irritated a lot, or when you use a mutation serum.
You can absolutely beat New Vegas as a (mostly) pacifist with a high enough Charisma and Speech. You can talk circles around anyone, animals will fight for you, and you can even tell the end boss to just get the heck out - and he will. It's the most broken-feeling way to properly play this game that I know of, and incredible that they considered the appeal
Probably won't be any Abe runs for awhile, they take longer to record than most videos, I usually put up a community post announcing them before they go up though:)

“He traveled all this way to yell at me” If you can get the guy at Nipton to follow you without letting him interact with you you can get the wandering trader and his guards along the way to kill him, and later on at the Strip, regardless of if you’ve touched the legion or not, a guy will still say you killed him and all crimes you committed against them are forgiven, it’s kinda funny that even though you didn’t touch him, the game still recognizes it as your fault

Well i've got you a suggestion to another New Vegas run if i catch your interest "Cyborg Samurai run" Quite obvius but, in short: -Melee based -it is going to be an idenpendent playthrough (No gods no masters); -need to complete Old Wolrd Blues (Brainless, spineless, heartless perks and other implants) -Implants from the Followers of the Apocalypse -Only use the GRA katana (Vanilla or upgraded) -Reinforced Combat armor MKII (don't remember the right name) or other futuristic armor -Plasma granades, stun and that PEM granades (Again i don't remember the right name) -Neutral to good karma
I like how the aliens have man made weapons plus their leaders personal sidearm, it's like how special forces teams like to use local gear to blend in and not leave behind exotic shell casings/wounds on targets for plausible deniably (and the esse they can use captured stocks of ammo)
Gonna guess that this one involves vaporizing a lot of people with a certain piece of otherworldly tech.
Or blowing them up with HOLY GRENADES

Only downside with wild wasteland is when i try go to old world blues asap to 100% it. Then come across a mini deathclaw right next to a quest itam

I think the only other stipulation being that if he needs to talk to someone, he must remain hidden until he's close enough to stand up and talk.

The fallout 4 alien blaster is weaker, but you can mod it so you can use normal energy ammo so you can actual use the weapon long term.

@@lewiswheat8544 go to a reloading bench with a high enough repair and/or relevant perks, you can make way more powerful ammo. Handload .357 and Lucky makes the single action revolver viable late game

I really did, never actually used the alien blaster in New Vegas, only in Fallout 3, so was fun to take it for a run, even if it was crazy powerful
@@Nerbit13098 Would you try the alien blaster in Fallout 4? If you did it would be quite tough because the alien that has the blaster, the one in the crashed UFO, is quite strong. You could also get one from Nuka-World but that would also be difficult. If you did try this run I would definitely love to see that😁👌

Can you beat Fallout 4 with only alien weapons? Aside from the normal blaster, there's the Hubologist blaster in Nuka-World, as well as the CC alien weapons from fallout 3

I'm currently doing a series a bit like this on my channel, and am currently 14 episodes in.
This game is just absolutely wonderful isn’t it? The shelf life of games these days is so short compared to back in the day, the current generation call something outdated after a few months. Fallout New Vegas is way past the contemporary expiry date but it just keeps coming with great content and dedicated fans.
Honestly, I thought you were going to beeline for freeside to get a rolling pin from one of the elderly muggers (no ammo requirement to bonk). Didn’t even consider the alien blaster…

I'd argue that since those three super mutant masters that hang out by The One always spawn near it, I'd say the whatever they drop count as part of the wild wasteland perk too.

This sounds just as hard as my idea for a challenge run: Can you beat New Vegas with only crafted items, my playthrough would be really hard since I don't have the add-ons and it cuts down on the damage weapons I can craft, I would love to see you take on this challenge idea, if you ever get the chance. So, when can we expect seeing "can you beat Fallout 3 as an Alien"? I would say Fallout 4 as well, but i am not sure there is any space clothes in that game.
You can wear the Nuka-Girl Mascot's spacesuit, and the astronaut costumes from one of the amusement park rides.
Besides that, only Power Armors and Hazmat Suits really count as "space clothes".

I didn't think you'd be able to do it, I didn't know that the alien blaster was so insanely powerful or that you get so much ammo for it. I thought that you would either have to resort to talking or fist fighting your way through the game. All that was cast aside as soon as I saw the uber gun.

Truth be told, I forgot about it
Okay, so I've seen some people talking about a possible Gordon Ramsey one and I've figured out the challenge:
1. Wear Wasteland Doctor uniform (basically chef's whites) and fight only with knives (not too hard since Chopper exists)
2. Tag Survival, Speech, and Melee Weapons
3. Take Terrifying Presence as soon as you can
4. Cook every food recipe in the game (so Hydra doesn't count, but the challenge does include the recipes you have to find/unlock like the Wasteland Omelet or Cook-Cook's Stew)
I'm not sure if you just didn't want to pick up any melee weapons, but you could have gotten 3 rolling pins by entering and exiting the building where you find Fisto for the Atomic Wrangler mission as the 3 old ladies show up to mug you.
I always take the wild wasteland and skilled trades. Skilled is the one that gives you +5 to every stat at the beginning of the game with the cost of a minus 10% experience game wherever earned
That, or Good Natured. Most of the time, I only spec into one or two weapon skills, so it's free points.

You should try a run where you only take ONE singular item from each encounter or kill. Including ammo, so one piece of armor, one stimpack, or one single round of ammo.
It would be like an extreme version of survival where you need to make each choice count… so you massacre a town for extra ammo, or collect melee weapons and healing items? Who knows…

Huh, whenever I go to the one it's allways guarded by I think two hostile super mutants one with a mini gun and another with a missile launcher just wondering why they didn't spawn on this run ?
They were there, that's why I was sneaking, without any weapons they would have decimated me before I got to the nuke lol
To add on the talk about traits being gone in the beginning of ths video, there is a feature in Fallout 76 of all places where a version of it exists. There are several affects called "mutations" in the game that act like traits, giving a bonus in one area, but a negative in another. The mutations are gotten either randomly when you get irritated a lot, or when you use a mutation serum.

The only “Drawback” I can think of for wild wasteland is missing out on the unique gauss rifle from the mercenaries that get replaced by the aliens.

You can absolutely beat New Vegas as a (mostly) pacifist with a high enough Charisma and Speech. You can talk circles around anyone, animals will fight for you, and you can even tell the end boss to just get the heck out - and he will. It's the most broken-feeling way to properly play this game that I know of, and incredible that they considered the appeal

If you can get the guy at Nipton to follow you without letting him interact with you you can get the wandering trader and his guards along the way to kill him, and later on at the Strip, regardless of if you’ve touched the legion or not, a guy will still say you killed him and all crimes you committed against them are forgiven, it’s kinda funny that even though you didn’t touch him, the game still recognizes it as your fault

Well i've got you a suggestion to another New Vegas run if i catch your interest
"Cyborg Samurai run" Quite obvius but, in short:
-Melee based
-it is going to be an idenpendent playthrough (No gods no masters);
-need to complete Old Wolrd Blues (Brainless, spineless, heartless perks and other implants)
-Implants from the Followers of the Apocalypse
-Only use the GRA katana (Vanilla or upgraded)
-Reinforced Combat armor MKII (don't remember the right name) or other futuristic armor
-Plasma granades, stun and that PEM granades (Again i don't remember the right name)
-Neutral to good karma
I like how the aliens have man made weapons plus their leaders personal sidearm, it's like how special forces teams like to use local gear to blend in and not leave behind exotic shell casings/wounds on targets for plausible deniably (and the esse they can use captured stocks of ammo)
