This week I thought I'd bring you a super easy step by step summer 2018 nail art tutorial using a 32¢, yes 32¢ metallic gold chrome nail art foil from Alixepress! To us brits, that's about 24p, that's less than the cost of a Freddo Frog!! There's 5 simple nail art designs that are so cute, including line, french manicure / french tip, polka dots, geometric and a gorgeous dappled marble effect nails art. Great tutorial I love these designs. I used foil for the first time the other day and discovered you don’t need to waste your money on foil glue and water based topcoats! It works perfectly fine applying the foil onto clear polish and using a normal topcoat on top xx

Woo Hoo, what a great way to use nail glue and foils! I was so totally tired of covering my entire nail with foil and thus, the foils got pushed to the back of my nail drawer. I can't wait to try these. I especially love the shattered look and the dots. I'm thinking smaller stripes and chevrons. Thank you for the inspiration.

Don't ever hide your awards!!! It means you tried really hard to do what you did to win. I don't believe in giving awards that are unearned. It belittles the awards given to those that work hard to earn them. I also bought a 12 pack of foils. Mine were off amazon but really cheap. With the last one, I bet some striping tape in different colors in the white are would look fab

You could use double stick tape, and trim it into different shapes, put it onto the nail, put the foil on top.
You could use stencils with the foil for either positive or negative space.
Finally carry and umbrella with you everywhere. Personal shade. Helps fight the sunburn.

Hi Karen👋🏻 it depends if you’d be doing it with gel polish or nail polish. On nail polish you need the foil glue but on gel polish you could get away with just removing the sticky layer on your second layer of colour and then apply some more colour in the same places that you want to stick your foil to, cure, then apply the foil and top coat. Hope that helps ♥️♥️

I'm a natural auburn. I have a bit of Irish and Scottish ancestry. According to my husband, I live like a vampire in the summer. I try to avoid the sun at all cost. I can wear 50spf, waterproof, sweat proof sunscreen and I will burn in an hr or 2. I've gotten sunburns in Oct and March. And I don't tan, I burn, freckle, repeat.
Hahaha omg I felt like you were talking about me then! My Grandad used to say that I looked like I’d been sunbathing through a tea strainer 😂😂 I don’t go brown, I just go less translucent 😂♥️xx

Can you do a matt foil nail art? Also why are you using foil glue - i'm applying the foil on to the sticky layer... but i have some problems :D In some spots the foil does not want to stick. I think that while i'm trying to apply it i touch the nail with my finger and with that wipe the sticky layer. Is it possible and is the nail foil glue going to fix this problem? And can you make videos showing how to put on glitters and sands and such king of grаine mediums. It is very tricky to make them stick to the nail without putting top coat over them - the top coat ruins the texture and the shine but withouth it the glitters/sands just continue to fall until i soak off the nails. Thank you in andvance!

Aloe Vera helps with the inflammation from sunburn. Just make sure you get the best quality stuff as the cheaper stuff doesn't seem to work as well.

Pure aloe gel is the best, some are a bunch of ingredients with a miniscule amount of aloe. Keep it in the fridge along with a facial spray and it's amazing :)
