I’m only now acquiring the ingredients to begin doing gel nails and have been looking at videos to check out the possibilities. (I grew up wearing a single shade on all ten fingers, and the only available colors were pinks and reds. Nudes hadn’t even been invented yet. We lived like cavemen, obviously.)
This video was fun and interesting, but I was actually moved to compose a message to you because your personality is *terrific*! We could hear you smiling and having a good time while you made it, and it’s clear that you’re sparkly and bubbly in a playful, sexy way, and not like many who display cloying, insincere, try-hard personalities.
I doubt you ever have bad days, but if you ever do, try to remember that strangers all over the planet think you’re a fun, engaging, charming, and delightful lady.

I cant get over that this is an actual trend. I used to take different colored felt tip pens and sharpies and draw directly on my nails when I was a teenager and bored. That was in the 80's. I'd draw flowers, smiley faces, stars, etc right over my nail polish. I really do love this look, very 70's retro and water color.

You can also use dry-erase markers! I just tried!
Oh yes, this technique is so easy and fun to create. I have done a lot of manicures using sharpies stamping manicure, btw lovely manicure as always. =)

Beautiful job! If you don’t want to use sharpies, there are actual alcohol ink markers you can use to cut out the dilution step, and they come in every color of the rainbow! 💜

I love this design but I did wonder how you manage when working on your dominant hand? Would this work using the reverse stamping method?
The crystal clear stamper can be tricky to film with. If you've not tried Clear Jelly Stamper's Big Bling XL stamper, I really recommend it. Refraction is virtually zero and it's much clearer to film with. The only thing it struggles with is super quick drying or very thick polishes, and you gotta work quick.
Super fun and summery! FYI- if you draw sharpie directly on soft gel it will eat through it. You will find out if you make a mistake and try to remove it with non acetone nail polish remover. I found out when I made cheetah spots with a sharpie and tried to get it off

I didn’t try it without diluting it with alcohol first. I’ll have to give it a go straight on the polish and see if I get the same ♥️

How do you prime your clear stamper without filing it? Because when you file it, it makes a cloudy appearance on the stamper

Hi Jeny, I just use pure organic Jojoba oil and vitamin e gel but I use a very high percentage of vitamin e in the oil ♥️

Instead of using liquid latex when stamping, I just use a piece of tape to pull off anything that gets on the skin. It works for most of it and saves the time of putting on the latex.
These are beautiful. I'd be interested in trying the same technique with watercolor or diluted acrylic paint on a matte top coat (so that colors don't run) & then topping with a glossy (or matte!) top coat. This seems so much easier than "reverse stamping" in terms of keeping more or less within the lines...
The only issue I could potentially see with watercolour or acrylic paints is the water dispersion on the polish and the amount of time it would take for the water to dry/evaporate. I’ll have to give it a go to see ♥️
Natasha Lee yeah, I could see that. I use powder-based watercolor palettes (if that makes any sense) & I think I would try it with as little water (highest pigment concentration) possible, if that makes sense? Still don't know if that would work, tho? *shrugs*

They are surprisingly quick to do. I’d say 40 mins max for both hands ♥️
I just bought bliss kiss nail oil for the first time and it seems to be working great, I love it. What kind of ingredients did you switch to use in your oil?
I just use pure organic jojoba oil and vitamin e gel added in a very high percentage ♥️

Please tell me where I'm going wrong with the UNT.. I prep my nail, layer of UNT, not too thick, not too thin.. wait for it to dry then gel colour over the top.. I'm still having to use a hammer and chisel to get it off!! I then end up filing it off, which defeats the object really ❤️
