Thanks so much for posting this video. I am new to all of this and heard about the Sharpie stamping. I am shopping for Sharpies and really wanted to buy a less expensive set. So, this is the video I was looking for.

I never would have thought using a sharpie or permanent marker would work that well. Very nice! What I also like is the fact that you can color details in. Like the palm tree, you can color the top green and the trunk brown.

I saw the video in Spanish a few weeks ago (in The Stamping Shop) as well and was gobsmacked that someone found out that this technique would work. I tried it myself on a couple of pop sticks, it didn't turn out as well as yours but I do intend to revisit it again soon. And put a 'fun' colour lol as the base. Thanks for sharing xx
nailartbyteena keep trying. Make sure you get a lot of the permanent marker on the plate and use a white stamping polish that shows up on black, then give it a good scrape. Hope your designs will turn out đ

I love this idea!!! It is SWEET!!!Can't wait to try it. Would make coloring in certain parts easier I would think. An the way the color looks afterwards is still bright
lori dodge I think coloring in parts would work, I'll test it out. The colors are bright since they are on the white polish. Make sure your white stamping polish shows up over black. đ

Hi Enye, I haven't had any issues with the gel top coat smearing my images. For regular polishes and stamping I highly recommend Maniology Smudge Free Top Coat it is amazing.

A tip for you don't use acetone to clean up your plates đ it would damage the plates, instead use the regular non-acetone to clean up them then use a piece of dry cotton to remove the oils of non-acetone.

MsShellMel I thought mine were fine tip too, I was really happy when I opened the package to do the video and found out they weren't. đ lol I work for a toy company, the selection in the store is random from companies that they own. I got lucky. đ

I tried this & it turned out okay, but sometimes it seems like the stamping polish changes the color of the permanent marker or when I go to put a top coat on, it completely removes the color of the permanent marker, even when I apply it lightly lol. I just have bad luck with this. Maybe I need to try a gel top coat, but it's just weird because when I compare ingredients, the gel top coat has the same ingredients as my regular one, so I don't know where it'd make a difference.
For some reason regular top coats tend to smear images. I never have issues with gel topcoats and Maniology has a regular topcoat called Smudge Free it's amazing, never smears anything.
@@pattiespolishcorner3274 Yeah, I've noticed my regular top coat occasionally smears images if I let the brush go across it too much or if it doesn't have enough polish to spread across. I'll see about getting a gel top coat & see if that solves my dilemma & I'll also look up the Smudge Free one you're talking about & see about getting one of those, thanks for the tips!
Hello, is sharpie the same kind as the marker pen in the stationery store?Do you have the same effect if you use nail art pen instead of sharpie?

SangMi Park I reply to all my comments. I love reading and answering all of them. It's really hot right now. Lol I am in the US in the state of Wisconsin. Most of the time it's either freezing or really hot. Lol however it's been so hot, I don't think I will ever complain about the cold again. đ

White stamping polish or white reg polish?
I only use stamping polishes for nail stamping, they are more opaque. I used Moyra stamping polish in this video. It's my favorite white stamping polish.
Just brought some sharpie pens does it mark your plates ? How ?

Just a little tip always use 91% rubbing alcohol on your ALL nail tools and plates and files ( even the card board files can be soaked a time or two in 91% alcohol) let them air dry that kills anything and keeps everything clean. Another good tip use LINT FREE COTTON pads and those i have to order online i use amazon ALOT , AND have not found any in Walmart or local store that is cost efficient but i am super cheap. Lol another MUST TIP AND this is depending on how often you do your nails vinyl gloves powder free , coconut oil and 100% tea tree oil on your hands either while cleaning or sleeping at least once a week if you do your nails like i do and thats about 2 to 3 times a week i change the color and everything from a full fake nail to acrylics with tips so my nails are abused by me both cleaning and washing them alone makes even the best of the best gels and any nail products come OFF quickly as i have severe OCD so washing and chemicals is always my manicures nightmare but germs and bugs are mine but still gotta be girly and pretty...lol so START BY getting a pair of new disposable gloves slightly fold each cuff back and then either dip tips of your finger in coconut oil or use a face mask spade to apply oil inside each finger section then slide the glove on and then put a few drops of tea tree oil in each finger then after getting other hand in glove with 1st dipping finger tips in coconut oil n drops of tea tree oil in Each finger section message your hands from tips up to end of glove *(note you should NOT have so much oil on or in the glove that it runs up your arm or drips out when you move around but enough on tips that you can message your up your hand)*** this will hydrate your whole hand and nails and the tea tree oil will kill any bacteria or fungus that may have found its way in or under your nails and this also takes the ugly yellowing of the nails from polishing and acetone residues . Loved your permanent marker video as i have lots of hobbies anything artsy and i got it...lol except tattoo equipment my husband says wait a while..... so i paint anything and draw and color, love to color from pastels, pencils, gel pens to yes i have every SHARPIE they make and i have recently acquired a new set of rose art permanent markers because the tips are different and the case that holds i thought was cool. I don't do videos but show all my art on even when i started my adventure on learning to do acrylic nails and stamping art on my Instagram kalinasmithcrawford thanks for doing the video and not putting some stupid annoying music in it.âđđđđđđkeep up the great work thanks again
Thank you for the tips. I also like extreme sales. I buy my Zoya products when they have 50% off once I got 70% off. I am not a big fan of playing music. I like to talk and those are the channels I like to watch also. Normally if it's just music I turn off the sound. I love nail oil, I apply it to my nails several times a day.
