That German tank commander looks like a younger version of the German Tiger tank commander In Kelly's Heroes who cuts a deal with Clint Eastwood to blow open the doors to the bank holding the gold bars.
In Russia, this film failed at the box office. It entered the top of the worst films about the Battle of Stalingrad and also topped the rating of low-grade films about the Second World War. Living in Russia, such a verdict on the film is clear without explanation. Previously, military consultants were front-line soldiers who went through the war, and now everyone is free to bring in script your vision of those events.
