The lines between passenger aircraft, drone, and RC models no longer exist. They are blurred into large transition zones. These transition zones are still growing ever wider and the zones that define aircraft, drone and RC model are shinking. Soon, the various aviation ministries and authorities will no longer to be able to label the various type of aircraft classes by their current designations when someone is on the ground piloting a 65% scale Boeing 747-8 or Airbus A380. Then someone pulls up with an 80% scale Antanov An225 complete with Soviet Space Shuttle. The authorities will come and say, "You can not use that here." The RC pilot then says, "Oh, do not worry. It is an RC model. It will not hurt anything," as the RC pilot throttles up the six jet engines.
These large scale planes are getting absolutely out of hand!

At this size, how is it not classified as a "Remotely controlled civil aircraft" ? Very sweet plane/model.

Diese Bücker hat über 5 meter spannweite. Und einen 50 ps boxer motor mit getriebe.
Im original hatte Sie nur 6,6m spannweite. Habe sie schon öfter gesehen nur nicht im flug.
Bin auch begeisteter modellbauer. Aber meine sind nicht so groß.

OMG that plane is HUGE!!! What scale is it?? It'd have to be a percentage scale bc it's so damn huge! Like 85% or close. That could easily just be a miniature plane for someone brave enough to jump in and fly around for fun at an air show. I bet the servos in that thing are giant or not even servos at all.

Was kostet eigentlich so ein Modellflugzeug wie bei 0:23 zu sehen mit allem drum und dran dass man damit fliegen kann? Und braucht man dafür eine bestimmte Genehmigung oder ähnliches um damit auf dem Platz fliegen zu dürfen?

Falls Sie sich Auskennen,ich habe eine Frage,das Flugzeug wird ja gelenkt mit den Rädern am Boden.
Aber wie schaltet man es um auf die Steuerung in der luft?
Was hat die Steuerung vom Hecktasche(nur der wird gelenkt) mit dem Steuerung der sämtlichen Klappen, Rudern usw. ? Das sind andere Servos, Kanälen usw. Erst mal in die Materie einlesen

Some RC planes like this one are so great and detailed. But I always wondered why the controls are so direct. Surely if the response to the control was slower then landings would be easier and the seesaw effect would be minimal. It's very seldom that I see a landing is accomplished without bounce.

I agree but it also can be that the guy wants to start the plane manually by the prop for a more authentic start feeling because
the plane is a model of an old plane and thats how they start those
planes back in the old days before start engines took over. Just a thought.

Das hat nicht mehr viel mit Modellbau zu tun , er ist halt ein Flugzeugbauer .
An der Uni Stuttgart-Hohenheim gibt es eine Starrflügel-Drohne mit 7 m Spannweite, 5,40 m Länge, 2,35 m Höhe, 150 kg Abflugmasse, die 1988 vom LBA zum Flugverkehr zugelassen wurde und im Rahmen eines DFG-Grundlagenforschungsprojektes von mir erstellt und geflogen wurde.
Wir sind beeindruckt, aber das Video ist einem anderen gewidmet 😉
Hm , da hab ich aber schon ein größeres gesehen , in den USA haben wir mal mit einer Fliegerfaust auf eine Phantom geschossen , da keiner dort im Cockpit sitzen wollte wurde die auch ferngesteuert .
Reviews von RC Helikoptern, Flugzeugen und Quadrocoptern. Wer Lust hat mal rein zu schauen, kann gerne, würden uns über ein Like und ein Abo freuen
These Euro modelers must have some massive basements.
Ist nicht das größte Modellflugzeug, das hier hat bestenfalls 3 Meter Spannweite, es gibt mittlerweile schon Segelflieger mit bis zu 12 Meter Spannweite und einen A-380 mit über 7 Meter Spannweite.

Das Modell gibt es wieder/immernoch. Zeitgleich entstand ein zweites Modell in einer anderen Lackierung.

Das Ding ist so groß, dass ich glaube, ein Mensch könnte es sogar fliegen, also so einer von ein Meter 50 und 50 Kilo Gewicht, ja doch, ich glaube das würde gehen.

Schönes Modell und Klasse Bauausführung. Was ich hier aber leider, wie so oft auch sehe ist die völlige Talentfreiheit was das Steuern solcher Modelle angeht. Der Flug sieht aus als wenn im Modell eine alte Tip-Tip Anlage eingebaut ist. Da gab es auch nur Vollausschlag oder Null. Völlig unharmonisch und nicht passend zum Modell. Das ist doch kein Shocky. Von der Landung will ich erst gar nicht reden....Katastrophe

Es steckt zwar extrem viel Arbeit und Können in diesen Riesenmodelle, aber für mich hat das mit Modellbau bzw. -flug nichts mehr zu tun. In dem Doppeldecker könnte theoretisch ein Kind mitfliegen - völlig übertrieben bzw. Größenwahn.
