This plane is recognised as the best bush plane ever built. They stopped production in the 1960's but even the most banged up beaver can fetch a cool million dollars because nothing better has ever been built! If someone had the money to start up production of this plane again, they would make their money back inside of a year, because they are SO in demand, and there are a very limited number of these planes left in the world. Harrison Ford owns and flies his own De Havilland Canada Beaver, fully restored from an old barn find somewhere in Alaska. These are incredible plane especially when you have one restored and then refitted with a Turboprop engine! Makes the Beaver an even more desirable plane! I love that this model has a similar paint scheme to the DHC Anniversary plane a few years back. Great detail and the fact that is has been hand made out of METAL! Outstanding work Meine Freund!
-7 years late, but so worth the few minutes of fine craftsmanship and camera work, the pilot / builder also.

The Moki engine has that signature lope in the idle just like the full scale DHC-2, Beautiful plane, my compliments to the pilot, builder, and the Camera operator, who more often than not gets passed over for commendations. Thank you for sharing with all of us.

Awesome flight mate!. One wheel touch and go was of a whole different class of pilot. Then there was the slip final low pass and a beautiful three pointer. Well done my lad, bravo.
Being Canadian and into Aerospace and RC, this is a beautiful plane. Being a bushplane, I would love to see floats on this plane.

What a beautiful model! They should build a 1:1 scale capable of carrying passengers, they could even make a seat for the pilot and put the controls in the aircraft--oh wait.

I've watched this many times over the last year. This is a beautiful aircraft. So much detail. Well done. Post more of this model. I have been aboard a Beaver, incredible air frame. I built the DHC2 platinum addition Eflight and it fly's beautifully.

Yes indeed is the largest model I have ever seen. Beautiful and neat construction.Flies like the full scale one.I once made a 3.5 meter wingspan Telemaster with a mower engine single cylinder.

Absolut geiles Modell, habe ja selbst auch inzwischen 2 Beaver allerdings nicht in dieser Größe, aber diese Modelle sind einfach nur hammerteile.
Real metal and REAL rivets......someone spent a few days with sore fingers after this build. MOST IMPRESSIVE !!! Flies and sounds fantastic aswell.

Beautiful aircraft. Well flown to scale specification.Most impressive I've ever seen. Side slip is fantastic on a plane so large.Rows of rivets a huge touch.Three point landing was frosting on the cake. I wish a long and successful ownership for you. PLEASE, install floats to cap the climax. Keep me informed in the future.
Agreed! Super scale-looking landing. Very "fly it to the ground" approach like a full scale plane. Lots of RC guys land by just sort of reducing power and keeping the nose up.

Very nice. I have flown many miles as a passenger in De Havilland Beavers, on floats. They are great work horses. Are you considering putting yours on floats in the future?
Greetings from BC Canada. Absolutely awesome detail, looks like you built the model part for part from the original plans! I watch these (real) aircraft on a daily basis, and have to point out one flaw... Not even a turbine Beaver has that kind of power! That wonderful sounding power-plant should be in a Seafury or FW-190, or put some nice big floats on that beauty. Just like it's namesake that work of art should be amphibious. Please don't take this as a criticism, it's not meant in that context, just a thought from someone that has observed these aircraft for years. The plane is a masterpiece! One question... How long did it take to build?
