I love that you guys talked to some actual workers and not just all supervisors.
Well they wanted to know what was actually going on!! LOL
Shows how much Titan believes in their employees!
@@jimpinger6206 lol, the employees are Union. They don’t care about them.
90 percent of the supervisors and managers in the Bryan plant worked on the floor for several years.
Touring the titan tire factories was an absolute blast and super fascinating. I would have never imagined the tire making process being this unique! Really cool! 😆
You should see how they balance them at the Quincy, IL location. ;-)
@Teddy D Hello ☺️
Is that the plant in downtown Des Moines by the railroad tracks. I drive a semi truck and used to go there all the time. I have not been there in 20 years. I have been to all 3 plants mentioned before!
@@elizabethliska5377 yeah just north of East MLK used to be called Armstrong tire

Never knew that tire building was so involved. Really interesting. Thanks Cole and Scott.
I didn't think I would like this video, I watched the whole thing and actually enjoyed it.
Look at tire repair, so many steps. So I wasn’t surprised to see that making the entire tire is complex
As engineer by profession, I've always been extremely impressed with Scott. His depth of knowledge on their products from start to finish is impressive. Believe me when I say, 90% or more of managers out there in industry aren't that way. He's the type of manager that makes the best manager because he understands it all and can speak to it in depth. In addition, he understands his employees jobs and values them.
I didn’t know Scott was so involved in the manufacturing of tires. When he came out to your farm and helped change tires I just assumed he was like a manager of some local tire shop. Great guy
If I'm not wrong I think he's like the representative or something for Titan tires
} ❤️❤️
I am the second shift millwright at titan in Freeport. Sucks I missed you when you came through. Thank you for coming through!
I am Maintenance Supervisor at the Bryan Plant. This is an excellent video showing what we do and the pride we have in things. We appreciated you coming.
I have been to Bryan several times over the years. Home of the famous "Etch-A Sketch"/Ohio Art! I used to work as a service center for SPX Robinair. I really liked that town and Montpelier and Archbold's Sauder Village and "The Barn" restaurant. Man, when it snows up there (lake effect) it really puts 'er down! First times that I have ever driven in a total white out and could not see the edges of the highway as they were flat with all of the open farm fields!
@@joefudd Home of Spangler Candy and Dum Dum Pops as well
Nice job Cole. Very good job explaining the process,,,, Now I know why the tires are so expensive,,,
I caught the cost of tires too. I can really respect that cost more than before this video.
I LOVE factory tours like this. Technology has so many facets that we usually never think about, but they all contribute to making our lives possible at a level of comfort and abundance that our ancestors couldn't even dream of.
I work as an Operator in the freeport facility... This is an Amazing inside look at an American made product. Thanks for showing the world how American manufacturers are still kicking butt!
I worked for TiTan Wheel int. and its great to see the people i worked with. I also have pics of the largest tire in the world when i was in the tire plant in bryan ohio. Automation international inc. in Danville illinois makes the mold for those tires which was the company i worked for.
Nice....how was it to see all that trough cole's eyes?
@@jolandafrijlink6103 It's nice to see nothing changed. the only thing that changed were the bosses and plant managers.. I'm retired now and I still have great memories of Titan Wheel International..Thank you Cole for visiting and documenting your visit...Jolanda Thank you for your comment. Also i have pics and videos for a life time.
Thanks everyone for the great tours.
Great to see Titan let Their employees get to talk and explain some of process. Most companies want Them to be seen not heard. Have seen equipment like that in a company that I worked for, amazing how many companies use same equipment. This was a fantastic video Cole. Thanks for sharing.
WOW,, That was amazing. To think that a guy who brings pizzas out to your farm for lunch is one of the top manager engineers at a factory as huge and complicated as Titan Tires is impressive. It was obvious that everyone at Titan takes pride in their work and were experienced veterans. It was also very impressive how quickly Cole understood everything..
Cole thanks for the in depth tour of tire manufacturing and of course thanks to Titan Tire for allowing you to video so much of the process. I work for a company that provides the bead wire for Titan, we make the wire in Stillwater,Oklahoma and ship to Freeport and Des Moines. Thanks again to you and Titan Tire.
Thank You Titan Tire and the CornStar family for a great informative tour
This makes me proud to be an American. I wish we made everything we need here in the U.S.
There are ways to make that happen.
@@justmeiniowa Completely agree with you on this comment.
I could not agree more!
@@chrisallen9154 yes, get rid of corrupt politicians.
@@justmeiniowa When they were talking about serial numbers, the tire they had the document for was Indonesian rubber.
Great video Cole and family please keep doing more of this type enjoyed it immensely. Video was over before I knew it. Great job interviewing the workers I’m sure it made there day. Best of luck to your family on the farm this year and again THANKS FOR FEEDING US. God bless.
Thanks good instructional video.
I worked for a tire dealership right after I got out of the Army in 1975.
We did everything from wheel barrow tires, auto, fork truck and Cat front end loaders.
Nice to see how they are made.
New direction for the channel here. Feels like an episode of how it's made with weaker narration. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL COLE!
Excellent explanations. Mr. Sloan really did a great job showing all the different facets of manufacturing. Thanks for sharing this Cole.
Really awesome video! It's interesting to see how these tires are made. Thanks for making it and taking us along for the tour. God bless.
This video was so awesome! Loved how you and everyone in the video explained the whole process. Thank you Cole and Titan Tires for the tour! Excellent footage!
That was incredible !
Next time I buy tires for my car I'm not going to complain about the price.
If you ever decide to give up farming, you can always be a factory tour guide. 👍
it's amazing to see there are still genuine souls out there!!
That was so interesting. It's incredible the technology engineering and science that goes into a tire. Thank you for the great edit. Awesome video.
That was fascinating. Thank you, Cole. Please feel free to drop videos more often.
This video was so awesome! Really enjoyed the tour and the way you and everyone in the video explained the whole process. Thank you Cole and Titan Tires!!
Scott is an impressive salesperson. He's equally comfortable chopping it up on the farm at the main heated shop or explaining complicated processes in the plant. Huge respect for him for knowing his shit but also being great at building relationships.
I work at the Freeport facility as a band builder and this helped me learn stuff i had questions on. Awesome to see some people I work with too!
Fascinating video! Anytime that I have ever watched the process for anything in the manufacturing realm, it is way more complicated than I imagined. Thank you for this Cole.
Love videos like this. "How it's made" was one of my favorite shows to binge watch.
I install OTR and AG tires for a living, in 3 days it’ll be 18 years I’ve been doing it. I always enjoy seeing tire factory videos.
awesome video. Thanks to Cornstar Farms for letting us come alone with y'all. Awesome
Scott actually knows his stuff!
Great Great video who would have thought all that time into making a tire it was so awesome to watch. Thank you Cole and thank all the ones for also giving us a tour of the plant.
Thank you Scott and crew!
Very cool to watch. Just picked up a set of LSW 710/65/R46 and a set of 320/125/R54 for our new sprayer!
This is just fascinating to watch. I had no idea on how tires were made at all. Thank you for including us on your tour !
TITAN-Thanks for letting the Cornstars tour your factories! Your staff did an excellent job explaining things! We're "tired" now...👋
I worked in the rubber industry over 30 years. Nothing new here but I liked seeing it again.
That was AWESOME!!!! I have always wanted to see how they make tires! Thanks Cornstar family and Titan Tires!!!!!
That was really cool! thanks Cole for doing this and THANKS SCOTT! for showin' us around.
That was very cool. I love learning things like this.
I have big respect for factories like this that respect the public and spend time and energy on giving tours.
Scot Sloan is AWESOME!!!!
Conceives and builds the machines that builds the tires. A whole nother level to that genius.
That was so interesting! I had no idea so much went into making a tire. And the fact that those people actually invent new products as needed is amazing. USA! USA! USA!
wow..great video Cole & Co. i know what all goes into this..shooting of the vid, smart interview questions, review of lots of "footage", editing. all done creating a good, informative, and non boring video! success!
So today he was Cole the College Professor; cause he literally took us to school! 😄
Very impressive video, major props to the company who spent the time and effort to show all this info to you/us
Wow this was an amazing video. Really makes you appreciate the American worker and how much work it takes to keep us all rolling along everyday. I've seen tire factory videos before but you all did a really good job on this one.👍
Wow that was very interesting. Thank you Scott for the tour and Cole for the narration.
That was amazing to see the process and all the care they take to make an exceptional tire!
Fascinating. I relived my summers working at the Firestone Tire and Rubber plant in Salinas, CA in 1973 & 4. I could "smell" the factory while touring Titan in this video! Thanks. Enjoyed. (I was a Laborer, my dad was the Maintenance Manager).
what a great video who knew that much went into the process Thabks Scott for allowing Cole to take us along
That was awesome seeing a channel regular like Scot in his own element and shining. Great job all around and great job by Scot. Wonderful brand embassador for his company. Well done everyone.
I like those videos, it is so interesting to see how stuff gets manufactured. You documented it very well, and your own explanations were very good. And I was also impressed that all the staff were mentioned by name, unless of course you just gave them random names during editing.
Amazing process. Thanks for taking us on the tour.
I remember watching TV shows when I was a kid in the 50s about various manufacturing companies and I loved it. Just I loved this video, it’s fascinating and impressive.
Thank you and Scott and all of team Titan. That was fascinating!
The best tire production video on CZcams. Y'all made it enjoyable to watch. Well done!

Wow. Makes you look at tires in a whole new light. Thanks for the video. Keep them coming.
I work at Cooper Tires and we make truck/car tires. The process is the same just on a smaller scale. This was fascinating to see how gaint tires were made. Thank you for the tour.
Thanks to Scott and TITAN Tire for allowing this video. Two thumbs up Cole!
Absolutely fascinating video! Much more to tire making than I ever would have thought.
Good Presentation, and Tour of The Plant. The Folks giving Y’all the Tour were Really Good.
That was amazing.... Man, the engineering that went into the whole place.... it just fascinates me....
Cool road trip. Scott & everyone , had a wealth of info for you guys.
Great video Cole. Glad to see the tires and wheels made here in America.
Now this was a very educational Video. Interesting to watch & learn the process of how tires are made !
I thought I was watching an episode of how it’s made. So cool you got to see the process firsthand. And thanks for sharing. PS Goodyear got a free commercial off of you. 😂😂😂
I've watched tire making a few times but it never gets old. Great video. Got Titan Goodyear on my 1944 Case!
So cool! My two little boys (4 and 1) love watching your show! We actually live outside Freeport and they were so excited to hear you were here!
Wow, my appreciation level just hit the ceiling Thank you for this video. God Bless every worker in these wonderful United States of America.
Awesome view into the tire world. Great video. Thank you for the tour. Scott, great tour guide.
How cool it is that you got to talk to my dad! He was super excited to drive you around and explain all the things he does at Titan! ( He's the one driving the golf cart and maybe also a good politician )

Great episode Cole, very interesting. I operate Cat 797 heavy haulers and they use "Big Bertha" size tires.. Cool to see the actual process through your eyes.
As a factory worker in Metal work industry, all I can say is Wow ! Nice job 👍
Wonderful to see Nave. I was wondering where you had hidden her!!!
I personally had no idea how complicated it was to make a tire.

Hello from OK-amazing to see the progress of tire making-thanks for the info-as always great work Cole
That was amazing. Thanks Scott and Cole.
Good job Titan and Cole. Thanks
Cole thanks for showing us these great American workers who make great products.
Cole you are very intelligent and have a wonderful ability to teach others in a very entertaining way. To think I would enjoy learning about tires 😂.....crazy
My dad worked for a cast iron foundry that was electric powered. I worked there a couple of summers and whenever the power cut out, the power company would call them to tell them when it was coming back on. I was there for one such event. They had to rig up a fork lift and series of chains to be able to dump the furnace manually since less than fifteen minutes after the power cut it was starting to solidify in the crucible. If it had gone fully solid, it would have been multiple weeks of downtime. If you ever get the chance, a tour of Caterpillar's plant in Lafayette, IN is another good place to see. 20 years ago, they were building an engine there that used a Chevy V8 as a starter and had a radiator that was around eight feet tall. The foundry dad worked for made the custom high-moly exhaust pipes for that engine. The center pipes were around 100lbs per cylinder, where the end ones were 140lbs :)
