  • I got tired of looking at the jungle next to my house so I decided to do something about it. I also found a new cat friend, his name is Pumpkin.

I have a confession to make. I have been mostly ill for the past 6 years and my endocrine system is making me prone to depression, sometimes deep. Your videos always cheer me up drug free. You have me feel younger and add another "paver" on the road to help myself. Thank you Cole. From the bottom of my heart.

Editor: make a post or contact a college or university with a journalism, communications, media relations program and offer it as an intern job. Intern gains job experience, product quality, timelines and deadlines. People with practical experience are much more highly sought out then a graduate with zero. Look for a sophomore or junior so you have access to them longer for continuity.

Cole, The weed may be Morning Glory or Field Bindweed based on what I saw. If so it goes from the root which is a runner that can go tens of feet and any piece of the root that breaks off creates a new plant. Pain in the backside to remove mechanically, hopefully the weed killer does a good job.

@@fritzbreitenbach7606 I spent a summer clearing it out of a small garden by hand when I was a kid after we accidentally transplanted it in the roots of some rhododendron. Could not believe how delicate and long running the roots got to be. At the time we didn't want to use weed killer because of the garden and my allowance was dependent on filling a buckets each week with roots and plants. There is a special place in hell for that plant as far as I am concerned. I love the flowers it produces, but I die a little inside every time I see someone using it as a decorative flower as I just think of how hard it would be to get rid of.

While I don't live on a farm last year we got a whole house home generator with an automatic switchover. We had it kick in for the first time a few weeks ago and while our neighbors were in the dark we had power with our generator. Of course you generator needs are much more than I have. You also might need a 3 phase generator. Do your homework and make sure it's big enough for the worst case scenario. It's costly but when you need it you won't be disappointed. i hope things work out soon for the new bin site. That has to be disappointing.

My grandpa had a solution for the weeds growing around the buildings. Open the gate and let his flock of sheep do the work. They’d gather by the corn crib, grandpa would take half a bushel of corn, they’d follow him to the weeds. He’d start throwing the corn in the weeds and the sheep would go in for the corn. They’d just stay there and clean it all out. When done, he’d call them back to the gate and in they’d go.
