I think the aspect of him struggling to find 'inner peace', isn't like...A universal peace, but a peace with who he was, his past, and his traumas and that those don't define him. In this new movie, he needs to come to terms/peace with who he must become and his responsibilities.

I think that is a fair standpoint. I think it's just odd that Shifu would state that he has "mastered inner peace" if it's not actually something that a person can truly master forever.

@@IsaacCarlson I think it's best not to overthink it.
I imagined that the furious five are all masters within their own dojos. Perhaps they learned all they could at the Jade palace and must continue their journey alone or in other places which is why Po can’t reach them as they are too far away or too scattered. My interpretation about Po struggling with peace is perhaps the peace of no longer being the dragon warrior and having to ascend to something higher.
It’s sad but yeah they all probably moved on.
Yeah, pretty much arrived to the same idea. Mostly because the Legends of Awesomeness had backstory on Shifu being in a previous gen of Furious Five, so makes sense for Po to train a new Furious Five. Probably not even canon, but they included an elephant which is a coincidence for a member of Shifu's Furious Five group.
Also I am not sure Po really has the skills to increase efficiency. Like Po could train on how to take a person with no Kung Fu ability into someone very capable of their own style, but I feel like Shifu is more experienced in leading a student to just improve each student's style.
Also if some of the strongest Five Masters being located all in one spot is not exactly ideal in protecting the villages far on the outskirts of the Valley of Peace. So them splitting up to each protect different areas and train their own students make sense.
I don't care what anyone says, Tai lung needs to be the main character of this film. We need a redemption arc for him. Possibly even him earning the dragon warrior mantle. I'd watch an entire series based around Tai lung.

Ik the movie already came out but i already knew he wouldnt. It was obvious tai lung had learned he lost the role and is trying to learn inner peace. Its not like he would leave his home just to become the dragon warrior.
I hope most of the character development will go to Tai lung.
Cause I don’t think there’s anything else to continue Po’s character after what he already learned.
So it only would feel like a 3rd rehash.
So giving more development to a emotionally complex and sympathetic character who was the first villains makes more sense to focus on than Po or other new character.
I could imagine him and the fox having a sorta Tigre’s and po relationship from the first movie, by accepting not to be the dragon warrior

@@RickSanchez-di6ro I don't think Kung Fu Panda is trying to be woke. Just diverse in their choice of characters. It probably has nothing to do with woman empowerment, but rather that the antagonist happens to be a woman.
I’m hoping for a Tai Lung redemption arc. Out of all of the villains Tai Lung has been the most sympathetic. I mean he’s on the poster for a reason
I always found it interesting that Kungfu Panda puts a lot of emphasis on unconventional heroes as a concept. Tigress was a orphan feared by her peers,Monkey was a prankster,Viper was a ribbon dancer,Crane was a janitor,Mantis was a inpatient jerk.
on the staff holding chi, i think its actually more of a focusing tool for the cameleon. the reason she needs it is not because it holds power (though it probobly does) but because its from the spirit realm. with it as a sympathetic link, she can pull the master vilians into the mortal realm.

My guess as to why Po doesn't just get the Furious Five like last time is maybe the Chameleon could've attacked the Jade Palace early and taken the Kung Fu from everyone as well as the spiritual staff before Po ever knew how truly powerful the staff really is.
Edit: Po's seen with the staff whilst going to the Chameleon's lair/place. Maybe she takes the staff from Po and Po will retreat. And THEN recruit people while the Chameleon's summoning these Kung Fu masters from the Spirit Realm to take their Kung Fu.
As for the Pandas, I can't really think of any better reason other than they're not really fighters. Some of them are but not everyone, certainly not enough to tackle an entire army.

I’ve actually made peace with the idea of Tai Lung possibly getting a redemption in this movie cause I think that’s one of the main themes of the film is redemption and becoming better than what you are as we’ll see with Po evolving from Warrior to spiritual leader and Zhen and these other new characters rising above their criminal ways and becoming heroes. However I don’t want the same thing for Lord Shen, Kai and the Chameleon herself cause I’ve said this before I only want redemption for only so many villainous characters.
Tai Lung is one thing, but Lord Shen and Kai are the ones I'm Worried about Too.
Is Lord Shen in the spirit world though?

Ok so from what your saying, i came up with something that might make sense. As for the staff for shifu on why its possibly not wrapped up anymore, i want to assume that because po learned to be the master of chi, he taught shifu better ways of it to heal the staff because it was broken before. As for the inner peace idea, i think he only mastered the inner peace of accepting what happened in his past and moving on to better things. This time i believe he's struggling with inner peace to accept he won't be the dragon warrior anymore and being promoted to a higher role to protect the great valley of china. But something im a bit nervous about is if lord chen gets revived, what happens if the pandas or even po's father lee tends to bump into him. He might face the same traumatic effect but worse considering that's when he believed he lost his son who was only lost but grieved the death of his wife. Hope you like my theories
I wish they’d address that in actual movie and not just ignore it
Adding to that, Po isn't at ease with being sedentary. Po learns and understands when he's in the heat of DOING things. When he's confronting obstacles. But when he's thinking his job will be "just lead and/or sit around", that doesn't suit him.
Why would shen be revived? He doesn't have any Kung Fu skills.
@@S0n0fG0D Well in the beginning of the 2 Movie we saw Chen fighting 2 of the 3 Masters at the same time and he was holding his own against them. While far from beeing a true master, he does have some Kung fu skill, that he mixes with weapon skills
Isnt Kung fu mostly about hand to hand combat? Po, the five, Shifu and Tai Lung seem to be the only ones who not usually use weopanry. The 3 Masters, Kai, Shen, the Masters from the 3 Movie, hell even the Panda lady from the 3 Movie learned from Po to use a nunchaku. You can even say that Shifu and Oogway use there staff sometimes.

I want Tai Lung as the dragon warrior
I'm so excited to see Tai Lung back after all this time. Hopefully he'll get a redemption arc and work with Po and Shifu to take down the Chameleon. Maybe he'll come to an understanding that he was not meant to be the Dragon Warrior and that there is no secret ingredient, it just you. I'm just speculating at this point 🤷🏿♂️

He never wanted to be the dragon warrior, he WANTED Shifu's approval.
I'd like to think that Shifu's new staff represents his own turning point that he's completely accepted the new era of the Jade Palace. Despite his stubbornness, he was very attached to Oogway even after death. The new staff shows that he no longer is attached to that past, and to his previous mentor.
The Furious Five are going each on individual missions for a bit.
Po was struggling with Inner Peace because he couldn't handle the fact he had to become a Spiritual Leader, and being the Dragon Warrior was all he knew.
I think they meant steal all the Master Villain's power, skill, intelligence, body and memory.
Imagine if the five get their powers stolen and Po fights the Chameleon while she uses different bodies while fighting. Fights as tigress then as monkey then as crane. She’s essentially like Shang sung.

Another possibility is that the Five are separated and have begun opening their own schools and are training their own next generation of warriors. They may come back as the cavalry (possibly with their own successors who are their own ways of rectifying the mistakes Shifu made with them (Tigress teaching her successor with warmth and kindness, Crane making sure that he teaches his student to worry not just about everyone else, but themself, etc)). But the thing is, at the moment, they aren't readily available.
As to Po finding inner peace, it may be that he ONLY finds it when he's DOING things. And meditating isn't something that sits well with him, so he struggles with that

I think the staff Shifu is using had a chi in it. When it broke, it was lile breaking an arm. The staff is now healed, so it doesn't need the wrap. It has been mended.
I'm excited for it. I'd like to point out that the Furious Five voice actors are in the cast list as well as Tai Lungs, so there is a high probability that they are going to be in the movie. And something I'm hoping for in the movie is that the Chameleon uses her Tai Lung form to scare/attack Shifu, I think I'd be a pretty intense scene
I think the best explanation for the five not being in the trailer is that they all tried to pursue the villain at the beginning of the movie since they’ve already been confirmed to be in the movie, it would be cool to see Po have to fight the villain as the five and I could see the villain eating mantis with her tounge once defeated to make the stakes feel high and mantis would return somehow once she’s defeated and make a joke.
Alternatively, they've taken their own steps similar to Po, and have begun their own schools, bringing their styles to the world to both grow, and to help others. I wouldn't be surprised if they got the big, dramatic rescue with students of their own (especially if their successors are much like Zhen and the opposites of their teachers (Tigress with a peppy, spirited, cheerful student, Crane with a somewhat aloof, distant, cool successor, etc)

Tai lung got whooped by that chameleon which made me a little mad but he managed to take out her little army so there’s a plus there.
I think at the beginning of the movie, when Shifu told Po that he needs to find a new dragon warrior, Po's first choice would be one of the Furious Five, but they all reject his offer for some reason (in the first movie, the reason they all wanted to become the dragon warrior is the fictional idea that the dragon warrior would have unlimited power, but after Po's experience, they may become very disillusioned with this).
I saw this trailer and I felt so bad for Tai Lung. This man trained to the highest kung Fu mastery level and keeps getting his butt kicked and keeps getting tossed around like a rag doll! XD
Bro got skadooshed in the 1st movie, got smoked off screen by Kai in the 3rd movie, and now folded up like a lawn chair by a chameleon 💀
The Furious Five WILL be in the movie... but as for what Mike Mitchell said --- they make an appearance -- so can't wait to see them, but DAMNIT I want Po - Tigress to get together AND I want a Tigress Spin-Off Special or Movie🔥-- also, love your videos Isaac.

They haven't been seen or talked about in a while since Paws of Destiny continuing the 3rd movie. So, That Might be surprising for them to come back.
Angelina Jolie did mention something 12 years ago about Po and tigress having Tiger panda babies in a interview but at the same time it’s a movie about fighting in what way does having a romance help develop the plot. Its simple shifu was meant to teach the dragon worrier and tigress trained all her life to protect the dragon worrier to guide him in times of stress like kfp2. In Kung fu panda 4 po is on his own doing his own thing. He’s already conflicted on whether or not he should be spiritual leader or not the last thing he needs is romance tension.
Honestly, in a series thats always been about identity and impostor syndrome, with the the question of "Who am I?" haunting Po throughout the movies, its so perfectly fitting that the last movie's villain is an identity stealing chameleon. She avoids that question by taking on the skills and identities of others, while Po embraces it
The plot of Kung Fu Panda is already quite complete. The theme of the first movie is that as long as one accepts oneself, anyone can become a Dragon Warrior.
The second movie emphasizes letting go of the painful past and attachments, maintaining a calm and appreciative attitude toward the present.
In the third installment, the focus is on understanding oneself and self-improvement, completing one's own identity.
I guess that in the fourth movie, the chameleon duplicates Po but realizes it is actually a weakling. Eventually, the realization dawns that no matter how one changes externally, the crucial aspect is inner strength. True strength lies in a powerful inner self.
This is gonna be the BEST Kung Fu Panda Yet!
And I guess we now know how this Chameleon villain is gonna bring the films previous villains, she's bringing them back just to take theirs Chi and shapeshift into them. Thought this would be more like No Way Home were she would bring them back to life and have them team together to fight Po.
My only question is where the heck are the Furious Five at? They weren't seen no where in this trailer.

In terms of the inner peace scene.
I think that was just Po failing to meditate. Because that’s something he hasn’t really been shown capable of doing very well.
For the staff of wisdom. Hopefully it isn’t Retconed to be some magical artifact, and the reason the chameleon can use it to summon kung fu masters of the past is simply because it is an object of the spirit world that she can use as a focus.
And the reason why I think this only seems to be focusing on Po and none of the other masters is because this is his quest of trying to figure out what kind of spiritual leader he’s trying to be.
So something about his quest, and the fact that he needs to recruit allies from the criminal underbelly of the city he’s in will have something to do with the sort of revelation.
And it’s a revelation that he’ll have to come to on his own without any other kung fu master to help hence why none of them are with him.
Truthfully, I’m just trying to answer. The questions posed in this video based off what we’ve seen so far.
And I am strongly, hoping that this isn’t a sign that the person who wrote the script has no idea about the previous movies. Hopefully that isn’t the case because I could see it where they gave the job to somebody who wrote one of the kung fu panda shows without watching the movies or something.
The greatest suggestion for me is this:
"What happened to The Furious Five?"
They will not apear in this movie what a shame
I seriously hope that Tai gets some kind of, non cliché-like, Redemption Arc in this. Also a reference to how he was jewelry on Kai's belt.
All I care about is one thing is that tai lung is back and can't wait to see what he does in the new movie.
Yeah. I’m honestly not sure what to think at the moment. This video opened my eyes to some possible inconsistencies in the story. But, something tells me that they might be explained in the film itself. We’ll find out in any case. For now, I think it looks like it’ll be pretty good regardless 👍

It could be that the Chameleon only needs something native the spirit realm. Not so much that the staff has any inherit power.
Po-tigress-tai lung all deserve to be the dragon worrier. This is my prediction Zheng the fox becomes his student to eventually become the dragon worrier. Tai Lung is redeemed but goes out on his own like a ronin and nobody will expect it but tigress will be the new dragon worrier. She deserves the title the most. It was literally taken from her because of Po it’s only fair that he gives it back.
I’m sure a lot of people will be worried for Po outside of kung fu. Hence the Dragon Worrier.

About the staff and how Kai could've used it to his advantage, Ooguay said it himself at the end of Kung fu panda 3 when he gave the staff, first Po said "wait i can go back?" Then Ooguay said "who knows I never tried." Indicating that there would be no way of Kai knowing about using the staff to get to the mortal realm when even Ooguay did not know himself. So theres that

I have a few thoughts about the staffs. With Po's staff, it could be that it came from the underworld and might be used as a key. As for the staff of Shifu, I think that could be the original staff. He may have mastered chi enough to repair it if that is possible. The furious five could have opened their own schools or retired to find families especially after their defeats by Kai. Being enslaved may have left marks on them. Chameleon may have the power to combine fighting styles. While Kai used Chi to boost himself and make armies, Chameleon's Po looks kind of like multiple characters combined so that might be her goal. As for the inner peace, it could be as simple as Po losing it. Lord Shen may also be revived and this may cause Po turmoil or it could be the disbanding of the furious five or the stress of being a spiritual leader.

I think Kung Fu Panda 4 is actually making Po a Shang-Chi with Awkwafina.. who fights shape-shifting lizards😂😂
I think because the chameleon doesnt have mastery of chi, maybe the staff is needed as a focus for the chameleon's spells/powers. Since Po is shown to use the staff as a focuser of chi despite not needing it, maybe its like a wizard's wantd to just help focus chi and since the chameleon doesnt have the same mastery, its required for her abilities. Also one of the main parallels between Po and the Chameleon is that they are both unexpected powerhouses and arent the most likely candidates for strong characters. Maybe the reason why Po cannot rely on the furious five (who are confirmed to at least appear) is because the chameleon is underestimated and there are other issues seen as more pressing to deal with. Also since Po technically banishes himself to the spirit realm when transporting Kai with him, thats likely the reason why she can shape shift into him (or because he doesnt even need to be brought back) and she probably took his kung-fu when she stole the staff of wisdom. And chi is shown frequently to have healing applications (especially on nature, e.g. the flowers budding throughout kfp3) so maybe the staff could have been mended in that sense.
He has inner peace when he isnt trying to get find it but accept it.
Shifu also attained inner peace in the first movie but is still trying to find it, and thus, as per me, this is why Po is also shown trying to attain inner peace. Maybe inner peace is something that you can get occasionally, but have to work and train hard in order to keep it forever
Awesome video!!! Also the biggest thing I would want in movie is these 3 to join Po and 2 of them to even have a redemption arc. Which these two would be Tai Lung and Kai, Kai was once a friend of Oogway till he wanted all of the chee from all of the masters and pandas, he could learn to change his heart back to his once kind self, while Tai Lung can be given a chance to make Shifu proud and do something good to ultimately redeem himself, maybe Po will train him to be the next Dragon Warrier? And the last one I want to join Po would be his mom, I have a theory that she could still be alive somewhere we dont know, Po's dad survived, I theorize that Lord Shen then couldn't catch up to Po's Mother, then she faught off the Hyenas that tried to kill her, the leader of those Hyenas lying to Shen that they killed her, thus Shen and everybody else would think shes dead, so thats why I think theres a chance for her

I am guessing that we will see the Fox's relationship with Po as master and student, for Tailung maybe he will reflect on his past actions and turn into good, eventually return to his master.

I think the reason The Chameleon needs the Staff of Wisdom is because it could act as a catalyst, a beacon, to open a gateway to the spirit realm. Because the Staff originated from the spirit realm, it could hold an energy remnant of the spirit realm and the Chameleon could use that to follow the trail between dimensions and open a gateway.

Watch the beginning of this carefully. Chameleon likely turns into Po at the beginning of this fight, as we see a direct transformation from her to Po a few seconds later. But supposedly in the same shot, we see her transform into someone much taller than Po, hence the shadow. And speaking of the shadow, see the horns? It’s Kai

You know I’m not totally surprised that the Furious Five are in the trailer. They haven’t appeared in Paws of Destiny and Dragon Knight. And on top of that most of them barely had talked or had a lot of screen time in the third movie.
on the whole "not recruiting past masters" thing, i can easily see the explination being more comical than serious. for some reason, i see a montage of what they are all doing, and all of it means they cant come in time. i see it starting off serious (mantis and viper trying to raise a sunken city, crane and monkey fighting a demon) but slowly grows more comedic, with the last one being a guy with a broken leg.
I think it can be easily explained that Mr Ping is planning to open a new branch of the restaurant in the city and Li Shan will come along as taste tester. But I am curious where the Furious Five are.
Happy to see Tai Lung back. I just wish they somehow brought Lord Shen and General Kai back.

Shifu's staff is the same one, we saw that chi can heal plants in the last film. Its not outlandish to think that Shifu learned and used chi to repair the staff

4:09 maybe to enter the spirit realm you need substance from that realm as a key or anchor, since for most if not all people, journey to spirit realm is one way trip, hence there's no substance come back from that realm, except the wand Po possess.

About the staff: actually, apparently Kai was originally supposed to take Oogway's staff of wisdom! In some pieces of concept art, he's seen holding it.

the chameleon is a sorcerer yet she never got power or even understood what made master oogway so powerful
Wait in kfp 1 the beginning it shows Po fighting a bunch of crooks. Then at the end he teams up with the 5 to defeat an entire army. Although it seems like a stretch I feel like after Po gathers all his old and new allies and there will be an epic clash between good and evil. Will there be casualties most certainly which is why I believe Shifu and Tai lung will go together to the spirit realm as father and son.
I think Shi-Fu used the Chi technique Po taught him in the third film on the staff to mend the staff and now a fragment of Master Uugwaa (idk how to spell his name) is now in he mended staff. (If I’m right about Shi-Fu using Chi to fix the staff ima be screaming after the movie in my pillow)

I love how he’s asking all these questions that are already explained if you actually watch the trailer. Po’s inner peace that he has to find is the knowledge of himself. The “ kung fu” that the chameleon is taking is their skills, ability, and technically he’s taking their body but he can only possess the abilities and body through shapeshifting. The team po has and the army probably isn’t strong enough or is doing something, or shifu wants him to do it alone to let him learn a lesson (last one is a guess)
What if towards the ending po’s new army starts to lose and the army from kung fu panda 2 and 3 army with the villains come in to rescue po even though its unlikely man that would be one hell of a fun scene.
Kung fu panda 4 looks like more of a fanfic with a self-insert OC
Kai wanted revenge not just return to the mortal realm, his also afraid Oogway might stop him, also we see in the trailer there's like a portal so the staff kindah limited and might need to use some ancient gateway to fully connect to two realms

Also maybe oogway's staff is instead of a source, it's a way to channel the power of chi to something. Like Thors stormbreaker in love and thunder. The only reason she uses the staff is to bring people from the spirit realm. She uses her tongue to steal the knowledge and chi of the warriors/villains.

The tiger and tai lung are my favorite characters hopefully see a lot of them in this movie
I would love the idea of why would there really be only ONE dragon warrior, I think it be a cool idea that there could be three more which would be Tigres as being the new one, Zheng learning to be one, but also Tai Lung becoming the darker or at least a ronin type of dragon warrior after he redeems himself, at least that’s what i think.
I can't wait
1st film: Learning Kung Fu
2nd: Mastering Kung Fu
3rd: Teaching Kung Fu
4th: Passing the torch
My Theory on why there are not Kung Fu fighter against the Chameleon:
1. She absorbs the Kung Fu ability of anyone who possess such skill or aptitude for the martial arts
2. Using Kung Fu fighters would only give her more opportunities to steal their Kung Fu ability
3. Using bandits does not mean they fight using Kung Fu but rather weaponry/other martial arts (which is very unlikely given the main theme of the series)
Possible issues with theory:
1. We don't know if he will train the bandits to utilize Kung Fu
2. Po is a Kung Fu master himself (unless he somehow negates her ability using chi)
3. Is Po not training Zhen to be the next Dragon Warrior which requires Kung Fu mastery?
This is all I'm willing to write rn but these are the main 3 point of my theory on the battle vs The Chameleon

I think that inner peace is something that they have to come back to all the time we see that in the 3rd movie that Oogway was literally meditating saying “Inner peace, Inner peace, itchy nose, finally inner peace” I think that it’s something that they have to come back to to remind themselves what inner peace really is
i read that the furious 5 was supposed to be in their own separate missions for movie 4 but will still make an appearance somehow in the film, and idk why that made me feel like i'm watching shonen anime.
The staff of wisdom may simply be a conduit with the Spirit Realm, because it was most likely crafted there, and comes from there. It was the only thing Po was able to take back to the Mortal Realm. (Sadly the hat and cloak did not)
I believe the staff is an item that helps harness chi, because in kung fu panda three it took at least thirty seconds too form the dragon, while in the trailer for kung fu panda 4 he summoned it in a second using the staff. I also think that the chameleon seems to mimic special skills and abilities, he will master everything that the person he shape shifted into mastered and if they have any special abilities eg: climb walls, extreme speed, flight, He will acquire and master those abilities as well. This is why bringing the furious five is bad, he merely grows stronger and acquires more skills and powers. As for the army, the pandas simply don't have enough general training, they defeated kai by overwhelming him when controlling all the masters, but now that they can't do that, most of them likely lose to that army.

I think the point of the meditation is that Po has gotten both inner peace and chi without meditating, whereas Shifu proclaims it takes years of meditating to achieve those powers. So even though Po has inner peace, he still cant meditate, because he doesnt have experience with it. I think inner peace and meditating are 2 separate things. Having either doesnt mean you have the other.
I agree Shifu replacing his staff is sloppy but its only a small detail. Although you can mend flowers with chi, and the staff is made of wood, so maybe he mended it with chi?
I think her needing the staff is not because it has powers per se, but because it has a connection to the spirit realm as its been there. As shes already a magic wielder, she might just have a spell to use that connection and revive the villains.
I also think the Five might be taken out already or do their own thing and not be available. As for the pandas: I think they outnumbered the jombies in the third movie, here that’s not he case and they are probably not skilled enough to take on the lizards. Besides that, them fighting the jombies was kinda a last resort, because there was noone else left to help. And masters like Ox, Croc and Chicken might have their own cities to protect in this one and might just live too far away to get them and then attack the chameleon. There might simply be no time for that.
Also kinda funny how Shifu says its not just punching and kicking in 3, but then I guess they still proceed to do that, as Po just teaches others to fight. This movie might take that sentence more seriously and go more the emotional and spiritual support Po can deliver.
I think the reason for po trying to find inner peace again is because of him being at as shifu said a young age he still has seen some messed up stuff in his years as the dragon warrior that he is trying to deal with
