So glad your back it feels like the old days. I always enjoyed watching your videos Steve keep doing videos we really enjoy them and can't wait for your Leshyi 2 video.
I hope I can find a slug to shoot like that in my .25 cal LCS SK-19. The only thing it seems to shoot accurately/1"-1-1/2" 5 shot groups @ 100 yards on a good day is the FX 34 grain pellets @ 900-905 FPS. The JSB 33.95s open up more @ 100 yards to 2"-3" groups. I tried NSA .250 38.5 grain, and they feel loose in the magazine. Maybe your .253s are the ticket? A tighter fit maybe what that polygonal barrel wants?
Good stuff -- I've been watching your .25 videos over the last couple of days as I have an RTI Prophet Performance w/a .25 barrel in it. I accidentally purchased some .249 slugs a year or two ago ( NSA's - I didn't realize that there were different sizes in .25 - like in .22 there are seemingly a kabillion . . . lol ) They didn't work very well. I then tried some .250's (H&N's) and indeed much improved BUT . . . . I'm still looking for something that will maybe (?) rival the accuracy I get with the jsb 33.95 mk ii pellets . . . cutting to my question: How does one determine if their barrel is .250, .251, .252, .253 . . . etc? Do you have sample packs available for purchase? ( 25-50 of various diameters? ) Thanks . . .
Hey Jim, The best way is to get an impression of your barrel but pushing a slug down the barrel. Very easy to do. I show how to slug your barrel in the Katran review video about a year ago. It's half way through the video. you can take any .250 slug and squash (using a hammer) it a little bit to widen the diameter. then push it down and measure using a micrometer. Do not use calipers (usless you have good Mitutoyo calipers). If not just send it to me and I will mic it for you.
You got that katran humming nice.
Awesome video Steve wow great job same hole thanks for sharing bsafe buddy 👍

@@AirVelocitySport - outstanding - appreciate it, thank you!! ( good idea on "widening" the .250 slug . . . . ;-) )
What are the energy numbers? I’m getting over a 100 foot pound with my Sumatra shooting a .253 48 grain flat nose. I’m taking totes at 200 yards.
Question? When you said "I slugged my gun.?" Do you mean you just tuned the fps or did you do something to the barrel?
When you say you “slugged the barrel “ what do you mean?😊😊
