- In this video, I will shoot .253 35 grain AVS slugs at 75 yards. I will slug the barrel to determine the GROOVE diameter and TWIST rate. I also send a bore scope down the barrel to look closely at the crown, lands & grooves and transfer port. My Guantlet 2 is going to Hajimoto Productions for a near complete upgrade. I will have a follow up video in the near future

This dude is top notch! equipment, knowledge, goes all the way with it all with proof and excellent quality video. Please keep it up 😎
Interesting barrel images. More fun than having to undergo a gastroscopy.
Awesome video! love the in depth knowledge experience and explanation.
The real airgun scientist!
You are the Mr. Wizard of airguns. Great video.
Very nice 👌 👍
Great info.
Nice slugs too
Very nice , good job👍🏻
Awesome shooting Steve with the Gauntlet 2 those are some good groups 👍 can't wait for the Haji tune see what he can do to this gun thanks for sharing bsafe buddy 👍
Excellent airgun review one of the best videos I watched for airguns, and I watched almost all. I wish there was an option to add subtitles for other languages, very educational.
Those are all minute of rabbit or squirrel.
😂😂
As always, interesting stuff, thanks.
Look forward to the Haji/Stephen finished item.
Thanks for watching!
I just purchased the Gen 1 Gauntlet. 2 bills. I looked at a lot of reviews. Some good. Some bad. Same thing with the Gen 2. So. Without a doubt. Eliminating all of the negative. The Gauntlet 1st gen. is very, very accurate and consistent. I am pleased with it. It shoots better than most any rifle that I have ever owned. Of course it is limited to probably 100 yards. But, who cares. It is point and shoot on varmints.
That things a shooter man!
Great knowledge shared as always. Thank you. I need to send my gen 1 Gauntlet to Haji and have a leak fixed then sell it. I also am not a big fan of bolt action airguns. It was my first and last bolt action PCP. Good gun but again not a fan of bolt action PCPs either. Stay blessed bud.
Very nice video, tons of Info, I love that stuff.
I look forward to seeing what your results are after some Hajification 😎
Yes, me too. I know it's doing to be more refined.
This is the video i was looking for, pretty much everyone else is only shooting pellets with this gun and im really interested in the slug performance
Hey Steve I Just Started getting my PCP Airguns Out of the Cabinet To Clean and Get ready for Punching some Paper and Dial them in for Hunting Hope your Doing well You are the One who got me in to Airguns Great Content God Bless 💪🙏
I love hearing that. This is a great sport, hobby and necessity. Happy shooting.
@@AirVelocitySport Yeah my Health has been pretty Bad and Now I am Getting ready to get back into Airguns I have Everything and More lol I am Michael God Bless Steve Watching your Video on how you Made your Stock for your Avenger right now 😄 I Don't like the Plastic Stock I prefer A Beautiful walnut Stock..
Don't leave us hanging. Did you ever get around to making a video of your Gauntlet 2 25, after sending it to be worked on? Interested to see what the upgrades did on accuracy. Am on the fence about getting it in 25 or 30SL. I love all the information from your videos. Thanks
Great video, very informative. I did notice that after firing, you release the trigger quickly to take your index finger off the blade hurriedly --- a much slower release from having fired might beget a tad more precision, since accuracy seems spot-on. Stay well. Best to you and yours. Happy Christmas.
Very nice video like always very informational. P s I shot your slugs the other day out of tom's huben Super nice.. This Thursday. I think I'm gonna shoot the other slugs you sent him for his newest air gun.Epoc
I sent my Gauntlet 1 to Hajimoto as soon as the gun was released and I could get it to him. You're very wrong about the "numerous problems" on the Gauntlet 1 guns. The gun was revolutionary. Yes, the stock isn't perfect but there are no other significant "problems" with it. Mine has had thousands of rounds through it with 0 problems. You can not care for the styling but there's nothing inherently wrong with it especially when tuned by Hajimoto
I had numerous leaks and half finished bluing on mine. I fixed my leaks and repaired bluing as best I could. The twist is wrong on our Gauntlet 1's for slugs but shoots pellets extremely well. To make this backyard friendly and shed 3-4 pounds will be worked on as time permits. Best $220 rifle yet...very easy to turn these into $700 rifles :)
I'm looking forward to the side cocking lever video with the gauntlet did you ever get it done.
Cool
As always great video! Where did you buy that air cylinder that's on the 2240?
That is actually a double co2 cartridge holder. I gave away my ninja bottle and just put that there as a place holder.
Have you polished that barrel yet?
I'd be very interested in seeing how much that improves the groups?
How expensive are the Haji upgrades? More than the initial cost of the rifle?
Do you plan to make a stock for the Gauntlet, and if so, are you going to make a video of the process?
Do you still shoot your Crosman 2240/50 self-made rifles?
What rest are you using?
Any luck with the hajimoto modifications yet?
The 34g 253 shoot very accurate with my Avenger 25cal. But the best I found with my avenger is the 26g 251. On accuracy within 100yrds they are spot on the same but I know with the 26g it hits higher on my scope with the 26 which tells me I can shoot out to 200 yards no problem. With the the 26g at 75 yards my scope hold is 4 mil under. And with the 34g I'm down to 1.8 hold under. I haven't tested past 100 yards yet but I know from shooting the FX Hybrid 26g that with this zero I have I can hit withing 1ft at 200yrds. While the 34g will have deliver more power, if it can't reach the target then what is the point? I can drop a coyote on the spot with the 26g and get a heart/lung shot kill on a medium size deer. So why d I need a 34g? To me the 34g is not necessary. It's just boasting about power that can't even make it to the target without a rezero. But then you cant hit close targets at 50 yards and closer. I like to have the biggest kill radius possible without the need to zero again. It takes time to get a scope to really set in to a zero and stay. Even 1 click can mess things up more than you planned. It's best to zero and leave it. I also recommend the Talos Athlon scope because of all the mil hold lines. With my 14x44 Athlon scope, there is no need to keep chasing your zero.
what tripod is this in this video?
I hear the action on this rifle is much stiffer than a regular bolt action and the trigger has a very long and hard pull. Has this been your experience?
Yes, the bolt is very very hard to cock but the trigger is not that bad.
I was told that I need a aftermarket barrel/air tank band for my G2.
Do you or can you send me in the right direction for buying a 2200psi regulator? I have the regular gauntlet 25cal. I’m brand new to this sport
Hajimoto productions is the way to go when it comes to the Guantlet
Where do you buy the slugs that best grouped? Or what brand are they?
AVS slugs
@@AirVelocitySport thank you
Dude! Really enjoying the video's but what's up? No new video's?
Any updates after you sent in the gun to Haji?
I did get the it back. haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. It looks really nice but cant tell how it shoots yet
How can I contact you for reviewing our scope?
My hidden dream, I want to have a good rifle like that, but how can I get it, because in Indonesia there is no marketing of the same brand..salam one barrel.
Have you received your gun back from Hajimoto?
Not yet
Hello! Did you ever send this gun in and get it back? Sure would like to see the end results 😊
Just got it back yesterday. I will be testing over the next few weeks
@@AirVelocitySport may i ask what it cost for the tune? I will be sending mine to haji for the same stuff next winter.
The wind was moving your target at least 1/4 inch at times...
We're is it made
One year later..Everything OK?
Yes, I just went out to test but need to go out one more time to show accuracy
I’m not going to beat it on a table so I don’t bend anything…. Proceeds to beating the hell out of it on a table lmfao.
Not really, he had a towel folded up to make it 2-3” thick for cushion….🤷🏼♂️
Did you get your rifle back from Haji yet? Looking forward to seeing part 2👍🏼
The new G30 LS is a lever action.🥲
