    Wow, that is a beautiful piece of equipment for such a low price. The display is beautiful but I wonder how it will hold up. Very nice review!

      @@TonyAlbusIf you were American i wouldn't be much surprised given the easyness of getting such equipments like keithley, agilent, hp etc, but in Europe the shipping cost and taxes make so much more expensive to get such equipments, and this is when they even ship to our country, most of the times they only ship domestically. For the chinese gear it is way easier but we still have to extra pay the 23% VAT (at least here in Portugal).

      @@tiagoferreira086 Hi, yes i buy the HP and Keithley secondhand in NL itself. just browsing the lcoal ebay here. in AliExpress the prices for me allready include the VAT, so its also 21% higher for us here, but AliExpress already makes the price higher so its no suprice what you need to pay. fot this item the price incl VAT and shipping was 320,- for me.

    Thank you for the review and look inside Tony. I do believe you are addicted to test equipment (and I should know!) As one of your other viewers suggested, it would be nice to see how well the battery test works and what data is available when the test is completed. Regards, David

      @TonyAlbus  Před 3 měsíci

      Thanks David, i do not expect that battery function to be more powerful then my Atorch, i needed this for 60 Amps.
      Also for its pricing, i am not sure you should expect much more that the basic functions.

    Unbelievable that something like this comes with software lightyears ahead of the crap that comes with the Siglent Electronic Loads. In fact it still feels like a slap in the face.

    • @TonyAlbus
      @TonyAlbus  Před 3 měsíci +2

      To maybe make you feel better, this software was crap too :) but the basic function directly controled on the front work better than expected.
      It did not break any sweat over the 60 Amps, just got warm a bit... amazing with only those 6 FETS.

    Hi Tony, an interesting piece, I was particularly interested in the LED function, which I have not seen before with loads, and I would be quite interested in how it works. If the LED chip exceeds its operating temperature, its internal resistance changes sharply and the chip is subsequently destroyed - so I would like to know if it is possible to somehow simulate this phenomenon with a load and thus test the stability of the current source.
    🤔 Above all, be careful that the amount of electronic loads you own does not burden the floor so much that the loads do not end up on the floor below 😂
    Edit: so there's not much inside, my 150V60A300W load can't be lifted with one hand 😂
    Nice day 🙂Tom

      Thanks, yes long video, but it took a while to make it as it is, with new good firmware and all.
      i could have burned the Brand, but that would not have helped anyone... now there is new good firmware and many people with this device can enjoy it now in full. and it does the job very well for its price. i am amazed.

    Why didn't you test the battery mode? That is nowaday's one of the most important features of an electronic load if you talk about product development (think about how many devices nowadays contain a battery....)
    Now we know nothing. Does it display mAh? to what accuracy (I only saw Ah)? Does it reset with new measurements or not (big bug in the DLP25 range loads), can it do Wh? etc.
    This is a function you really should investigate more. Especially as the workings are not all the same and there isn't really a common standard to it. Like you can show CC, CV, CR etc etc but everyone already knows what it means, how it works, so that is not really anything new.
    For my work I use a few electronic loads, but no way I'd nowadays buy one without a good battery test mode.
    I also wonder if it can be calibrated, because it showed 3mA with nothing hooked up.
