NEVER seen THAT one before! There is something very satisfying in cleaning test equipment and owning it.

Interesting meter, the grid texture of the case is an odd choice but it works! You always do an amazing job with the polishing.

Thanks Peter, yes the meter did catch my eye for that reason, it looked different. have an other coming too :) digital and analog with real needle in same gridtext.

Ah, bonjour Monsieur Tony! Vous avez trouver quelque chose très particulier cette fois! Een niet alledaags gevalletje van zijnde multimètre zamazegge. Jij kunt zo'n apparaat er wel weer mooi als (bijna) nieuw uit laten zien. Pracht apparaatje! Merci et au revoir monsieur!

    😲 this is a brick 😂
Super large display, the bar graph is faster and overwrites the values nicely.
After cleaning it is like new 👍
    Nice day 🙂 Tom

French Friday? Formidable! J'aime beaucoup. It's French Blue with a waffle protector. Liège, Bruxelles, or Stroopwafel, you decide which type. It must have worked in a Peugeot/Renault/Citroën garage. Merci!

But I have never seen a French meter for sale anywhere in North America. English, German, Japanese, Chinese Taiwanese only. And I started in Electronics about 1955.@@TonyAlbus

Hi Tony! Greetings from the USA. I enjoy all your videos. You are a bad influence on me, however, as watching your videos has encouraged me to collect older test equipment as well! The Chauvin is an interesting meter -- very "French" in design and certainly not a meter we see in the USA. I hope that you do a review on the Keysight U1251 on your bench -- a new addition? I am thinking of adding a Keysight U1252 to the stable but am a little concerned about a slow auto range and a slow response when in continuity mode. Please keep the entertaining and informative videos coming! Best regards

Nice pen! Congrats! The only meter that I could not repair was the most expensive Fluke. Well the French hold the keys to the Metric system while NASA keeps burying money with an antiquated imperial crap.
