Just reconfirming HDVee - the reset counter is the total number of resets, not number of resets in between Shinies, so technically it wasn't 16000 resets to get Electrode, as he started at 2648 resets, and got two in ~14000 encounters (total counter was 16107 when he finally caught it).

It's a running total, he technically got 4 shiniest (not including the gyrados) in 16000 encounters

It took me like an hour on 2 soul silver games, and got it after like 250 resets to get a totodile. haven't continued the hunt tho.
