For real he’s acting like he barely get shines, even though he has over 200
well i don’t wanna b that guy but these r full odds on a gen 4 game while most of a drive’s shines are on gen6+ bc the shiny odds r increased and ant wasn’t even using a charm or anything
His starter is only lv43 but he’s catching lv70 Pokémon
And beat red using 39-70 lvl pokemon and red got 88-90

To be fair, the Eterna Forest theme was playing when he found Ho-Oh, so it only seems fitting. Best music for the best Shiny.
You mentioned something about a “god cartridge” and for the first 15 years of me playing Pokémon I only obtained 7 shiny Pokémon, and 6 of them came from a sapphire cartridge that someone left at my friends house. Every time I started a new game I found one randomly before I beat it. I’ve actually thought about pulling it back out to play it through again.
Idk about Sapphire, but in Emerald the RNG is broken so it always starts from the exact same frame every time you restart the game. So if you were lucky and had a shiny frame just a few minutes in, then every single time you hit that frame you'd get a shiny. If you were unlucky and your first shiny frame wasn't until a few hours in, you'd have to let the game run for a few hours every time before you'd ever have a chance of getting a shiny
Explains why i had 2 shiny oddish, shiny magikarp and a shiny trapinch in Sapphire. Only 1 per restarted game tho

For the Red battle he just kept trying until the RNG (plus like abilities and swap predictions) gave him enough low rolls to make it through to the end.

Full support on the vod thing. Thinking about having my channel be a mix of that and just chunks of play throughs. Just love the feeling of hanging out with people and games and seems like the perfect way to do that on here.

Honorable mentions? lol. Like the blue nose diglett I crit knocked out in Firered, or the Torkoal in Alpha Sapphire, or the Cacture in Pearl :') Golett in Black2. Now that I think about it I've crit killed more shinies in previous gens than caught

@@kingivan1151combined with the insane catch rate he definitely changed stuff. I’ve shiny hunting for years and I have been similarly luck (in heart gold as well lol) getting 3 in a week in under 2000 total but when CZcamsrs do these sorts of challenges they all seem to get EXTREMELY lucky, so I highly doubt the legitimacy. And then there’s the speed up which is another thing entirely

Little story, I downloaded a Pokemon Crystal rom to play on my phone. I was going through the game as normal no nuzlocke or anything. I got to Ecruteak city and released the dogs. I head west towards the next route after beating the 4th gym and run into Entei right away. And what happens? That thing was f'ing shiny.
I was excited but then my heart went into my throat, I had no way to catch it, I could chuck a pokeball at it but it would just run away since I had no way to prevent it from fleeing and it would not be shiny again. I had less than 5 pokeballs on me (no ultra, no great, just pokeballs). I threw the pokeball hoping for a miracle and what do ya know? I actually caught it. I was so excited, it is by far the craziest thing that has ever happened to me in a pokemon game. I really don't know what those odds are, but thats 1/8192 for the shiny, and about 1/130 to capture.
I would love to see more reactions to people's shiny playthroughs of other pokemon games too.

Mine a charmander in 30 eggs and well all the random encounters
In My Pokemon Crystal Emulator I Found A Random Full Ods Shiny Zubat In Union Cave After Getting My First Badge I Caught It
And I Found A Shiny Lugia Post Game In Just A Few Resets After Failing To Catch It Multiple Times I Did Not Want To Use My Master Ball But When I Saw The Shiny Lugia I Just Did Not Hesitate And Threw The Master Ball ( I Think I Spent All My Shiny Luck There )
I really want to do a shinylocke in Pearl or Diamond, just so I can get another discolored grass hedgehog (Shaymin is my favorite shiny) but I’m ‘fraid I wouldn’t have the patience for that
Edit: yep yep I just got my pearl copy and I’ll be doing it, I don’t know if I want to hunt my starter or box it after the first shiny, which one should I do?

@@lightfiendish My quickest legendary hunt was Guzzlord in a week. Zekrom, Shaymin, and a few I gave up on (Giratina and Regirock) took 6+ months each. Tl;dr I don't have good luck.

Shiny hunters resetting 15,000+ times for a shiny legendary, meanwhile I'm over here with a shiny Reshiram that I found completely by accident in Omega Ruby. Didn't even know it was Reshiram's gate that I had found. Best part is that I encountered it while talking with a friend about how I hadn't personally found a shiny pokemon since generation III.
