Cork Buses | December 2023

This is the first visit to Cork in two years ( September 2021 • Cork Buses | September... ). Since then there have been a few more changes. The number of VWDs operating in the city has increased with more arrivals from Galway and Limerick. These double-decker buses even now appear on non-city route 226 to Kinsale. Some of the original VWDs, which are fifteen years old, have been getting repainted and in the process keeping their Bus Eireann livery. VWL single deckers still appear on some routes, and Cork is still the only place where Bus Eireann operate Mercedes Citaros (MC Class). Finally, a week before this video was recorded, there were changes to the road layout around Coburg Street, Bridge Street and MacCurtain Street. Buses now serve the latter two roads in both directions, and Coburg Street has gained bus stops for city routes 203 and 215.
