I think its a must to have a good full tang knife for most general purpose stuff and I like to have something bigger for chopping like a Ka-Bar heavy bowie. I've heard some good things about the Becker, but do not have any personal experience with. All that being said, the "best" knife you have, is the one you have on you and knowing how to use it. I have that knife as well. It’ll stand up to anything. I read that it was issued to air crew to cut through the skin of an aircraft for rescue. I could use a sheath like that, though.

I believe that was the ESEE 5. They are much the same though and the handles are way better on the BK2. 🥳

@@efficientinthefield Revisited this video today and this is above and beyond. Truly well done start to finish. You said you do not carry the BK2 -- and why, which makes total sense -- so how about a gear review video of what knife is your primary carry in the field, please? Asking because when I unpacked my meat carrier today, I noticed I am carrying a lot of redundancies in blades. Mostly they are carried to a base camp where they are swapped out based on the next task -- hunting, fishing etc.

@@donaldmonroe8503 Absolutely I am going to get into this and I really do think sharpened pry bars have their place for SHTF. 🥳 Even for us. Going to be getting DEEP into knives....because they are the 20% that produces 80% of the results in SHTF.

QUESTION, I know this has nothing to do with the video, but do you think a ballistic helmet from hard headed veterans is any good? I hear they are produced in part in China.

I'm not the best person to ask about ballistic helmets as I'm not big on them. I do know that the brand has a good name though. My brother owns a business in rapid prototyping and sends A TON of business to China. He says their ability to manufacture quality components has greatly improved.
