- On BudgetEDH we build fun and optimized commander decks with a pre-set budget in mind. In this week's episode we build a $100 budget Krenko, Mob Boss deck from the Magic the Gathering set Jumpstart. Krenko is a legendary goblin that has a powerful activated ability to put goblins into play equal to the number of goblins on the battlefield. We built this deck as a goblin tribal deck that can get out of hand quickly if left unchecked. We will assemble a legion of goblins and then use one of our wincons to close out the game quickly.

I LOVE krenko, one of my best decks and can easilly kill the entire table at the same time. I have kept the most powerful cards out of it out of respect for my friends as well (purphoros, tremors...) and even with that you can kill out of the blue.
I have the raostmaster in it, but not Tremors. Mine isn't budget though 😅

@@BudgetEDH he is! My favourite deck so far as well as probably one of my strongest 🤣. Also probably one of my longest lasting decks too since I've been working on my own list for like a year and a half or so

@@adrianybarra24 I would say absolutely. He is honestly really easy to play, though I speak with a few years of playing him 😂😂😂 but he is an honest Blast that I would enjoy playing at higher powered games, amongst several other lists

5:05 this was in my Krenko deck for a long time, but I recently took it out because if you have enough creatures it will kill you on the spot from trying to draw from an empty library
Too be fair it only kills you on your next turn, since decks are only registered and count as a deck out when its your upkeep and you must draw
Very effective and very cheap wincons in my Krenko deck: Devilish Valet and Vitty Roastmaster

Hi i am wondering why the deck is only 98 cards?
I feel like brash taunter should be in this deck he’s a fantastic goblin card to deter opponents attacking without trample
I’m currently running brash taunter and he’s fantastic for taking out bigger creatures and he’s even been a semi board wipe combined with other goblins
at the deck list are just 98 cards or i am missing something ?

Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin is my current goblin of choice, but I'm quite new to building my own decks so I'd quite like to make another to how differently the two commanders feel.
Is it just through experimenting and iteration that led you to the amount of ramp and draw in the deck? Or do you have an explicit process you use to determine a good mana base?
Krenko, tin street kingpin is great! I try to stay around 10 ramp and 10 card draw when I can. Some color choices are harder than others to execute on that strategy tho.

I haven't checked the decklist/video yet but I am going to be bummed if Reckless Abandon, Collateral Damage, Makeshift Munitions, Goblin Bombardment, Goblin Grenade, Savage Beating, Fervor, Relentless Assault and Impact Tremors did not make the list......
A few of my choices did make the list but I still stand by the rest of them. Nice deck though Budget EDH!!!
Hobgoblin Bandit Lord is a great Incude took goblin king out for him because of the mt.walk an he does say all goblins just not yours I know he is the OG Lord but bandit is just better gives 1/1 to all your goblins an u can pay one red an tap an do 1damafe for each creature that enters. The battle field that turn .an agrees dockside an goblin war strike are good as well as legion loyallist

no burn at the stake? insane. tap any number of creatures and deal 3 times that damage to target player... tap 5 goblins = 15 damage
