They do have a bit of a point with the "innocence proves nothing" bit, especially with how easily demons can corrupt even the most loyal of the Imperium.

It is actually pretty rare for a planet to be destroyed by exterminatus planets are extremely valuable to the imperium far more than its population in a lot of cases and certainly more than a couple million guardsmen , factory or forge worlds can be extremely valuable others planets can hold extremely valuable strategic positions their could also be some sort of tech on the planet that the imperium doesn't want to destroy that can prevent exterminatus, when worlds are valuable enough for the imperium to field the God engines of the legio titanicus aka titans it makes you realise how rare exterminatus actually is

There was a 5th temple that is redacted because I believe they wanted to create a hybrid from different races as an assassin. Of course the plan went poorly and did some bad shit so they’re redacted.

Guys its not that complicated.... Imperium = Empire The Imperium of Man, its the empire of mankind... this video its all about the factions within the Empire, all human factions. The Imaterium = the imaterial its another name for the warp dimension, while the materium = The material is just real space. Totally different things. Warhammer 40K use lots of latin nomenclature in universe to name things.

For some clarification bout the assassin temples.
Vindicare: These fellas are rigioursly trained from as young as they can, to hone their perception. Adept in mathmatics and many forms of martial arts, marksmen training with rifle and pistol.
But they also are trained in many form of gymnastics, but they are also able to slow their heart beat to being in a psu-do trance/hybernation state.
And slowly flex and control each invidiual muscle on their body to ensure they are always in peak physical condition.
Whilst eye in scope awaiting for their target.
    Days. Weeks. Months. A year.
Its possible for one of these bastards to wait an entire winter and spring, letting a family of birds build nests on his head. Just waiting for his shot.
(I barley remember the various books. Too many. And heck I maybe getting certian specific story instances wrong.)
Their snipers are crafted by a master armorer from the Mechanicus, a forge master. Who hand crafts the rifle to their specs, and the various ammo. Some is made to soar for miles without any drop.
Some explode, others burst with hell fire.
And other ridicilious ammo types you could think of.
Their suits are specially crafted and grafted to their skins, they basically remove your upper layers of skin and in the paste you consume, in like a tube shoved down your throat. It basically is like having kevlar skin, making you much lighter and on the run.
But they also have instances where its just that, a suit. Depends I guess.
But these guys are pretty deadly and are used to great affect.
Evasors.. These guys are fucked up.
    Anyone can become an evascor.
They don't just torture you, they use religious indoctrination whilst torturing you in all manner of ways.
They force you to learn human anatonomy and other anatonomy of other xeno's. To know which to kill you.
But this isnt taught.. per say. Its more implanted into your brain with other cyber augmentics. They remove your eyes and replace them with mechanical eyes, so the response time is faster to the brain.
Chips in the mind to identify which targets are the most weakest, to dangerous.
To picking up heart vitals to tell whos the most afraid and able to calculate I believe 30,000 calculations and scenarios within an second. (This is from one specific novel.. For the life of me. I cant remember.)
Their blood stream is filled with all manner of drugs, not lsd. But anger inducing ones, numbing stimulates to not feel pain.
To also enhance your lungs and heart beating. I believe they have artifical engine like heart with their heart, so their blood can be pumped faster.
In their brains they have alot of computer parts and programming. They are basically Terminators, but way more organic filled.
They also have kill limits programmed into them, knowing who is okay to kill. Everything else is to be purged.
And also its typical for an evascor to have a limit on how many they can kill before shutting down, or blowing up.
    Around 1 million.
When they die. Due to the chemicals and drugs and machinery, the self destruction happens.. and they turn into a mini nuclear bomb, more or less.

the oddest thing about the assassins in my opinion is some of the lore about their gear namely the body suits. They are sprayed onto their naked bodies forming a hard yet flexible second skin which not only acts as armor but also filters out airborne toxins - it is also sort of has one way mirror properties and if selectively breathable as they also spray it over there faces which become almost featureless yet they can still see and breathe perfectly fine...lastly if the assassin is lost behind enemy lines or need to wait for pick for sometime... the suit is edible....

The Inquisition, one of most favorite topics to talk about.
These guys are pretty much like what Bricky had stated.
But the recruitment of underlings and protogès for inquisitors is widely varied, so come up with what you will.
Its all wild and different, teams of cannibal gangsters maybe the most important info gathers in an undercity and an Inquisitor technically has the higher legal power then say.. Noble Family in charge of one world in its entirity.
Or a High Bishop and his council of Cardinals, a religious body in charge of a world.
    Or a military general, etc.
Technically they can order anyone to do anything, but to get them to enforce the Inquisitors will is.. Difficult to be put lightly.
Piss off a Noble Family, they maybe will kill the Inquisitor and parade their corpse as they declare succession from the Imperium, or secretly plan the demise of it and consult the dark powers.
    Or with aliens.
Or purposefully sabotage other world elements and hold back troops just as a middle finger to the Inquisition.
Or you have some leaders who will gladly support the Inquisition and allow them to set up headquarters and an established place to study, rest and train. Store supplies and gear, whatever really.
But typically Inquisitors stick to their home worlds and dedicate their lives like the secret police on their worlds.
And of course they can be corrupted and do evil shit.

Assassins are additional troops for Imperium armys.
You could be a loyalist Space Marine Chapter, an Imperial guard army, the Custodes, Sisters of Battle, Inquisition and have an Assassin
They used to be stronger on the Table top , like 1 assassin could take out a squad of Terminators(extra tanky Space Marine armour) but they are a little nerfed compared now, but still strong, but you would add them to an existing army rather than have an Assasins army.
Incidentally you can combine all the Imperium troops so you could have Guard infantry, a squad of Space Marines, and Assassin, maybe a Sisters of battle organ tank, and a few Custodes ...for example, all in the same army
Generally speaking you can ally different factions although in certain cases you cant ally
The exception (correct me if I am wrong anyone who knows and reads this) but Tyranids/Genesteelers cant ally as fare as I know? (I've not played 40k for years so am rusty)

There was a book about a trio of assassins with a Callidus, Vindicare, and Vanus (yes there is more than 4 temples but they're minor and don't really work with tabletop. Vanus is intelligence people. They'll kill you by hacking the room you're in so the fire suppression system trips and you die from CO2, or falsifying information so some mafia or jealous lover does you in.) But in the book the Vindicare needed to make a carriage crash, so it looked like an accident, so he sniped 1 spoke off then he hit the point where the other wheel met the ground while the carriage was moving at speed from almost 2 km away. The book did state the assassins are augmented. The Vindicare didn't have to sleep for example. There was also a case where 1, Dejedris Garamach, waited for 6 years for his target to come through his kill zone. When the target did arrive, it died in half a second.
With the inquisition, kind of like Bricky said, there is a finite number of planets and you kind of need a fleet to do exterminatus so just that alone there is a resource problem. Plus there is a lot of politics and power struggles in 40K so yeah inquisitors have just about unlimited power but that doesn't mean much if they can't back it up. Like, if they blow up a Mechanicus Forge World, Ad-Mech won't be happy. Then, oh no that servitor accidentally dropped a crate on that inquisitor what a shame. It also applies to their reach. Where some stuff they would have trouble doing just because the target of investigation is too well protected. Like if an inquisitor accuses a high lord of heresy then 1,000 of the high lord's personal bodyguards might run in and gun her down. Or my fav, "Ha ha, I got 30 stormtroopers and I'm an inquisitor, I demand you 8 Custodes do what I say or die! Let that Dark Eldar play with the Golden Throne." Got to say a lot of people in 40K have really inventive was of commenting suicide.

There are worlds in the Imperium that would have day to day lives that are as good or potentially better than ours, they are called garden worlds as far as I remember, and they are valued, they are not the majority of worlds in the Imperium though, but there are probably 10's of thousands of them (there are 1 million planets in the Imperium)

Its our own galaxy, the Milky Way, in the year 40,000. With Earth, in the Sol system, as the spiritual and cultural center (basically Jerusalem in the middle ages) of the Imperium of Mankind. An estimated million worlds are part of the Imperium, spread throughout the galaxy. Humanity numbers possibly in the quintillions, thats a 10 with 18 zeros. There are planets dedicated to a singular purpose penal worlds, farming, industry, etc. They're spread out in the galaxy, that Medieval style fiefdoms formed, controlled by respective lords. It's said, before the 13th Black Crusade, that caused a rift to split the galaxy in half, that about 75% of the Imperium lived in relative peace. Only the world on the galactic rim, or borders of enemy factions were seeing constant strife.

The Imperium Of Man: Around 1 million worlds inhabitated/controlled by Humanity. The main governing body of Humanity, and the main force of humanity and the many species of humanity, like the Ogrins, Ogre like humans. Dwarf humans called Squats, or Kyn. Ratlings. And other various offshoots.
Most human populaces are under control of the Imperium. Some under the Tau, or independant in one way or another. But generally speaking.
All these factions belong to the Imperium.
And of course theres so many more sub, sub, sub factions in each faction.
Its about what. 50+ years of collected games and novels, theres plenty of things to talk about.

15:35 Imperium - Empire that includes millions of planets where 99% of its population is human and is all over the galaxy but doesnt control it all cuz obv you have other races.
And you have all this different deparments/factions that are in it like you would expect a country or empire will have.
    Imperial Guard - standard Army
    Space Marine - elite troops
etc etc like its not that hard to understand since its basicly a depiction of a country irl where you have army/special forces/church/secret police and all the other stuff that make a country.
Idk how a guy (left) who reads and watches about WH can butcher this when all you have to do is compare each emperial "faction" to the Earth equivelent.
