- Doing laundry when you're off grid can be a lot of work! In this video I used the Allpowers R600 Solar Battery to power my washing machine at our off grid cabin! I did 2 loads and still had tons of power left in the battery. This battery is the perfect size for car camping as it's small and recharges very quickly.

LITTLE CABIN IN THE YUKON
When I'm not traveling in an RV or at home working on an RV, I'm usually at our remote, off grid log cabin in the Yukon. My husband and I have had this cabin for over 20 years and love it. I picked up this solar battery from Allpowers while I was traveling north to our Yukon cabin and had the chance to try it out while car camping. It was such a great size and weight for using in the back of the car for charging my laptop, phone and camera batteries. Easy to use, easy to find a place for. I had the S2000 with me as well, but this R600 would have been plenty of power for my needs while traveling. And I still can't get over how quickly it charges!! This is my favourite Allpowers solar battery!

This was so cool! I am able to do our laundry at the cabin now without having to use a plunger, or end up hauling it to town or even home! This battery means I don't need to plug the little washer in to our inverter, which is not in a place that is close to where I would do laundry, or run the generator. It's really handy!

Girl, that washer is the first one I bought for my RV. Talk about a physical activity. I think i lost weight using that washer. I wore that thing out for real! And then I bought the one I have now. It’s a great little washer. Great review Sue! I love clothes on the line!
Hey Winter! That's cool! I am thrilled with this little washer and that I can run it with the R600! Makes my cabin life so much easier! We're thinking of getting another washer like this to use in the trailer when we travel. Laundromats are so expensive!! This one is perfect for the cabin because all the water drains out and there is no pump to break if water freezes in it. I really enjoy hanging clothes out to dry. they small so good afterwards! @@HoneyandMe I used to put mine in my bathtub. That way I could drain it easily. It would be a great addition to your trailer!
Yes, that’s what we thought we could do in the trailer too👍
One could also try a no-rinse camping soap, or laundry soap like "Soak". That way one could skip the spin-then-rinse prior to the final spin (=2 cycles) or if determined to have some sort of rinse, rinse directly after it's drained the wash (=3 cycles).
I use an abbreviated wash cycle using Soak it all the time in my home machine which is on its last legs, to avoid overworking the parts LOL
I'm going to have to look in to this Soak! Sounds interesting. Anything that uses less water is appreciated as we have to haul all our water uphill from the lake to the cabin. Thanks so much for watching and for offering some helpful tips!

Cool. I take the cover off my phone and charge it when I'm at the cabin. I'm always careful not to put anything metallic on that charger too.
