The worst part of the scandal of how the BBC is funded is that people have to pay them if they wish to watch or record live anything from any other broadcaster. How this can possibly be justified and why hardly any politician comments upon it is beyond me. Unfortunately, apart from the occasional natural history documentary, they don't. Most of their output is repeats of low quality "entertainment" and politically biased current affairs programming.

@@antygod None, but of course, it is a question of degree and how much one finds acceptable, including the use of pejorative terms in descriptions of events. The BBC presenter, yesterday, for example, on its radio version of "Question Time" (I forget the name of the show. I'm not a regular listener), described Johnson's letter to Macron as having being "splattered all over" Twitter instead of "put" on Twitter. The BBC do such things all the time.
The use of such language reveals a high degree of bias and is just one of the many ways, some subtle, some not so, in which the BBC tries to promote its own political agenda. The lack of diversity of background at the BBC, of course, means that it may have an agenda more strictly adhered to by all its people than would be the case with other media outlets.
It is time the BBC was abolished.

I’ve had loads of letters (addressed to the previous owner of the house) and they get ignored. At my last house I had the same, and I wrote back telling them they were not allowed on my property. I have yet to have a visit, but if I do they will get told in very rich colourful language to go away and not come back - there won’t be any politeness involved, and if they don’t like it they can get a worthwhile job instead of being a leaching scumbag.
