I got my motor on a trike to spin but it won't move if I even hold it back with a finger never mind me sitting on it, so just wondering if the phase lines change again to motor and how they know as it's only wire? Whats your battery voltage? I don't see the point of loading the bike up with 2 motors and around 3000W + of controllers and motors if your not planning to either climb extremly steep terrain or plan very high speeds with higher battery voltages. Might as well save the weight and the amount of items drawing power and just go for one motor and one controller.
    i'm going one 1500W motor and controller with 72V nominal (84V max) for high speed and for lower speeds and more power i would choose a lower voltage and lower voltage controller but a high power one for hill climbing.

    Your front motor seems to respond to the throttle just a touch quicker than the rear motor. I would probably swap the controllers round so the faster responding motor would be on the rear. Nice project😎, us e-bikers never seem to stop modifying or playing with things all the time. My bike will probably never be completely done as I'm constantly adding or improving things to make it better. Also, e-bike tech just keeps on getting better all the time☺. when I twist the throttle at low speeds I can feel a vibrating which fades out the faster I go.

My electric scooter fried the battery for idk what reason and i ended up buying an escooter hub kit but it does not fit on scooter its way too big so i cut the wires and put the connectors on the old motor cause it still looks good inside. I turned it on and it worked! I thought it was a success but it would not stop running even with throttle not moving so i turn it on and off a few times and then it wouldnt power on anymore. So i unplugged the battery and plugged it back in but it sparked and fried the connector “i have more” but when i looked carefully one of the connectors that you connect from motor kit to controller has an extra white wire and i just taped it down thinking it wont be an issue. But i have a feeling its because the controller and old motor wheel are not compatible. Or am i doing something wrong? Please help.

    • @nixonsmateruby1
      @nixonsmateruby1 Před rokem

      If your hub is spinning forward then it doesn't need to learn and can probably run without hall sensors also. The learning line is only there for when you first ever connect a new controller but I have an older hub and it needed a new controller and learning line was needed, but a newer hub I have didn't need a learning line and also works without hall wires? • @dylansoutdooradventures
      @dylansoutdooradventures Před rokem

      @@nixonsmateruby1 I learned the difference in that time. The self learning line is there to reverse the polarity of a motor (direction it's spinning) if needed. Only sine wave controllers need to learn the hub motor and so sine wave controllers will come with a self learning wire

      Ah, I've been wondering about this..'cos I have a few problems with wiring up a Sabvoton controller..
      My ebike I built is a Voilamart 1500w 48v rear hub drive with a 52v20ah battery...
      I wanted more power so I bought a Sabvoton 7245M controller (it's 45amp sine Wave £180) and when I've tried to wire it all up I twisted the throttle a little (whilst one hand held rear tyre off the ground) and I think the rear wheel was going round the correct way (forward) but I got hit hard on the leg by the goddamn peddled turning just in sync with the rear wheel...
      It was as if it had locked the 7speed derailleur cassette thing because the peddles were spinning the same as the rear wheel...
      At the time this terrified me so (didn't know how to fix the wiring) I switched back to the stock Voilamart 30amp controller but anyway I'm wondering, do I need to try changing the Yellow & Green (thicker phase(?) wires so instead of yellow to yellow (and green to green - I understand Blue Always goes to Blue) it's instead yellow to green and then the green to yellow (if you understand my babbling?)...
      Any help is greatly appreciated as I'm really annoyed hat I've bought the better controller and I've been unable to use it...
      The 'spinning peddles' scared / scarred me into changing back to the old 'stock' Voilamart controller...
      Also on the Sabvoton controller there's 2 purple&black wires that splits off into 2x seperate purple & black wires that are labeled "low brake", are these the wires I attach to the 2 wire connections coming off of my front / rear bike brake levers? 'cos on the voila kit these stop the motors spinning when you grip/pull each of the front or rear bike brakes..
      Also on my stock Voilamart controller (and my bike) there's no wires to link up to any display so I just use a phone speedo app for my speedometer.
