      Was going to ask the same question about Ford 1.5 tdci. But read the post.
      Also I want to ask if there is a glow plug light in the Ford's meter. If yes my light does not glow. Also how many seconds does the glow plug on Ford aspire glow at cold start.
      Regards

      @dailyhandsdiy  Před 2 lety

      @@mandarshrotri5679 Yes there's a symbol on dash board but it does nothing. when ever there is a fault in plugs, engine malfunction light flashes.(A gear shaped symbol).
      Usually at cold starts, an initial 3 seconds warm up time is provided when we turn the ignition on. Then it glows completely while cranking.

    Hi bro. Hope you were doing good. I'm seeing the gear ⚙️ symbol on my ford fiesta dashboard. It is blinking for sometime and when I stop the car and start it vanishes. What will be the reason? Thanks in advance.

    • @dailyhandsdiy
      @dailyhandsdiy  Před 2 lety

      Hi there, do check if the car revs till 2.5 or 2k rpm when the symbol flashes. If the car runs goods with no vibration then mostly its a glow plug issue. If the car does not go beyond 2k rpm and vibrates then its a fuel related issue like injector pump regulator etc..

      If it's broken at the tip, it can slip into the cylinder and cause some serious trouble. or if it's broken in middle or from top leave as it's is...need some special tools to remove.

      it's a bit dangerous to the engine. that small bit can get trapped in valve seats or can hit continuously on the cylinder or head or piston walls making wear n tear...best is to dismantle the head to remove the piece.
