  • This is a walkthrough of how I installed the Z1 Motorsports SS Clutch Line in my 06 350Z. The install itself wasn't too bad. The nightmare was bleeding the clutch afterwards.

Glad it helped! I had a hard time bleeding the clutch after. I can tell you how I did it if you have trouble.

@@clubd4651how did you do it sir?

I tried other ways I saw on CZcams, but still had a spongy pedal. This is what worked for me.
First I gravity bled it. Fill the reservoir and open the bleeder open on the slave cylinder and leave it until brake fluid starts to come out, then close it. After that I did the pump and hold. Pump the clutch pedal like 10-15 times fast and hold it down on the last one. Then open the bleeder to let fluid out then close. Wait 20-30 seconds then repeat until you get pressure in the pedal. This is easier if you have someone to help.

How did you manage to get a flare nut wrench on thr nut to unbolt the top of the soft line??h

I think I removed that metal locking plate thing. One side of it bends upwards so it should give you more space once you get it out. I used a flat head screw driver to pry it out.

So what did you think of it? Better feel?

Yes. The clutch feels a lot better. It feels more solid. Not spongy like it did before. I've done a couple of track days with it without any issues. A couple of the days were pretty hot and it never felt like the fluid was overheating so I think the insulation helps too.
