Magnetic connectors are such a good idea. I've yet to find suction cups that work for more than a few months.

The Sicce filter you reviewed looks good. Magnetic connectors seem brilliant and do not appear to take much space in or outside of the tank. I am looking forward to the update and will search out their availability/pricing.
I love the tetras and happy I bought 6 of each from you at the swap. The red in the Colombians tails adds a nice pop of color against the plants I got earlier from Keith @KJE Aquatics.

There a little piece of card on the magnet side of the peller does that stay on do you know ?
I have no idea what you are talking about. But I would say no.
That magnetic mount system looks promising. The suction cups on my Sicce Shark turned glass hard in a few months. Would be nice to see a magnetic mounting bracket offered for the old filter instead of a replacement suction cup bracket for about ⅓ of the original price of the entire fiilter. Hate suction cups with a passion.

How strong is the suction on this? I need something mechanical for my baby Pleco grow out tanks to help clear the water column but worried it would be too strong for them and suck them up
You can turn it down pretty low. It would be fine in my opinion.

I bought 3 of the Sharks when they first came out. Those suction cups suck! I mean.....they don't suck. LOL! I have the cords tied to the stands to keep them off the bottom. I was so disappointed. But the rest of the filter is fabulous! Love how easy they are to service/clean. If you say the magnetic is better, I'll try........ONE. ;-)
Contact Sicce, they will send new ones! So far the magnet works great!

When you do the update video, take note on how easy or difficult it is to remove the filter (or part of it) and put it back. Does the whole thing have to come out or just part of it? Also, do you think you could put a sponge or floss in the bio area instead of "bio media"?

It is very easy to take apart in the tank. I will show that in the video. So far so good.
@@MichaelsFishRoom I was looking it up online… just released two weeks ago! Yours is the only English review I found. I didn’t notice when you said magnets attach the filter portion to the motor portion - THAT is a gamechanger to me. And it can be placed horizontally in your tank. I’m thinking of buying the two cube model packed with sponges/floss for my 40g breeders and running it with a slow moving sponge filter for bio. Doesn’t seem available yet.

Great review. On a different note. I would absolutely love if you could demonstrate how you do anything in Taco’s tank. Personally I would be terrified to loose my hand but your hands are bigger than mine. Seriously though how do you suction anything near the bottom? Do you separate Taco? I can’t be the only person who is curious.

@@MichaelsFishRoom really? You should definitely make a video with him. I’ve seen people talk about training them to go to the opposite side of the tank so they can put their hand in safely. But I haven’t seen anyone interact with a flower horn.

I have several Sicce items in my MASSIVE fish room. All of the Sicce products I own are top notch quality and work great. Their Sicce Voyager Nano 2000 moves 530 GPH and is a really nice stream pump (wave maker) and also uses magnet to hold it in place. I will never buy a device that uses suction cups again. #Sicce

Was that really a review of the filter though, it was mostly you and you kept moving the filter around .. it was like 14 mins of talking and 2 mins of you waving in and out of picture. I couldnt get a good look at it.
